Open letter to R2R:

First of all thank you to R2R for all your work. I hope you will continue your amazing work as I think what you are doing is making the world a better place.

Secondly, I think Saint will be happy to help you as much as reasonably possible.

That said there will no more come a time where not some people or organized gangs try to make money out of cracked releases. It is, well, frankly not realistic to think so. Trying to get immoral people to start acting moral must feel like banging your head against a brick wall. To adress in your nfo's the few people that unfortunately decide to make money out of your releases in the nfos will not make them stop. You "threatening" to stop releasing will not make them stop either. Instead i think you are making fans that actually care about you to feel bad and confused about what we actually can do to help you. Let us know in the nfo's what we actually can do to help you. Most people reading you nfo's are not bad people.

So as a conclusion, I am sure Saint would be happy to accommodate your wishes as far as it is possible. And do let us, your fans, know if there is something we can do to help (even if we cannot afford to supply software). What is the best way, if any, to help you besides staying away from the fake R2R sites. I feel that most people actually do praise you here in the forums and would like to know what more we can do.

Again, thank for all your amazingly kind and great work, I think it is changing a lot of lives for the better.

 

I'm glad R2R decided to be more explicit about the situation as they have been fairly vague in the past by saying what amounted to "people are pissing us off, so we're going internal for now" with little clue about the exact grievances.

However, unless exact people and practices are being called out on-the-nose then I suspect violators are going to continue to say, "no no, they don't mean me." R2R is capable of naming names, both in NFO and host file ban lists (Sunny, iNTEGRAL, "official" R2R) so I'm not sure why they aren't pointing fingers 100% unambiguously.

And yeah, any of that SymLink or other repacked stuff should be actively scrubbed from AZ.

A very serious R2R puzzle:-

R2R don't make money with their releases. But R2R releases are closed mirrors. Only a few can post their releases. R2R don't care about restricted mirrors by them. But they do care when somebody else makes money with their releases?

Result = R2R don't money with their releases, but they want only 3-4 uploaders to make money with their releases.

They say - "DO NOT MAKE MONEY WITH OUR RELEASES"
My Take - Download their releases via torrent while turning adblocker on. Yes, I don't wan't anyone to make money with their releases.

I am sorry if I offended anybody, just being rational. Some choose to follow, some choose to question. Waiting for answer.

F**k R2R - they need the parasites as much as the parasites need them. Both are stealing the work of honest developers.

 

I haven't read the last 4 pages, but personally I download almost all warez stuff using torrent.
Including no install releases. That's where they showed up first.

We can talk as much as we want about the old debate of mirrors-Direct download links for warez in general, even bluray/HDTV ripped movies and shows. It's really a very polemic topic, at least for the people we know about their making money thing.

But to focus in R2R releases... what about games piracy? It's by far the scene people make the most money taking advantage of crackers. Followed by generic software I suppose , adobe, microsoft stuff.

What happens if R2R quit releasing? We'll be all very sorry. Eventually another group will take the lead. Let's not fool ourselves, there's a demand and there will be offer.

I didn't realise that R2R don't intend for us to use their releases - it's apparently released privately but some people sneakily download their releases and get it out to us, the masses. Aha.

 

Still hope for some major Mac releases today. Thanksgiving isn’t over yet.... fingers crossed

 

Let R2R do what he wants to do... I only give thanks to him for their releases and that´s all. Need 7 pages for discuss about this?

 

i just realized that over time i have slowly purchased all the audio software i use( i thought that still had lot i needed to buy still but it turns out only couple more things), thanks to teams like r2r i could try to see if the software actually worth it
and which ones best for me, i highly appreciate their efforts.

all we have to do is let everyone know, if YOU ARE paying for r2r , you a joke. if you trying to sell r2r...........

Well, I can't win arguments with fanboys like you. I know you are getting stuff for free that's why you are blindly believing in them. There is a huge difference since last 3 years.

I like the hard work Team V.R and anonymous suppliers via Olymoon is doing these days and you know what, open mirrors, a real non-profit way to release warez.
Paying for illegal softwares is the most stupid thing to do. I would rather collect and buy low cost plugins than pay 15usd per month for pirated plugins. Many great low cost plugins available out there.
