It is not something you can publicly endorse, but maybe privately. There are some public figures on the internet that had problems because they were caught using warez, and some just got a slap on their wrist or nothing at all.

There was also famous cases where some people who downloaded music for free got a million dollar lawsuit from the record label.

He was one of the reasons I found out about Acustica, he has done reviews and informational videos on a lot of their plugins and Nebula libraries, and he also does shoot-outs with other plugin companies.

Actually, he says in the video he does not pay for any plugins because of all the NFR's he gets because "youtubers get NFRs".

Maybe piracy affects "youtubers" too. They have to find new plugins to claim to use, so they can schlepp them off on us. That's a lot of work for them.

 

Some die sooner, some later. That's the price of warez.

He is still fine? How do you know which mental and cognitive issues he might have? These things are not always very apparent at first glance. Most former addicts struggle massively with attention or have impulsivity and anger issues. Just because someone doesn't look like a stereotypical crackhead, doesn't mean they don't have any struggles.

 

Let's not derail the thread (I know, I started it) but I'm in a band with him and I've known him for 35 years. He has had his sketchy times but for the last, oh, 7 years or so he's been doing really well. I talk to his wife a lot too. I know, we can all get triggered and backslide but he has a good support team.

 

Admit it, you'd bang her first chance you'd get wouldn't you.

 

If I could do it without hurting him, sure. But that probably is the sort of thing that would cause a backslide... actually its his ex I need to track down

 

I was wondering ......who is Paul, and why is he third?

Was he 4th at sometime, but gained confidence, or was he 2nd and made some terrible choices? If he actually died 5 years ago, did someone else become 3rd, or did Paul become dead last? Was Paul ever 1st? Just so many questions to ask. Perhaps an investigation is warranted.
