Has anyone found a way to use these R2R'd alongside legit ones? Just removing them from the plugin folders would be enough to safely open Aquarius for any future updates? Tbh I'm considering selling most based on the crappy protection scheme and the greedy attitude of AA owner.

 

If R2R themselves indicate in their NFOs that if you want to use R2Red with legit AA it is at your own risk to get banned, there is the solution of the sandbox or the virtual machine or even to partition your hard drive, and to have one system in full legit and the other in crack test. Personally I am in favor of using another machine + Sandbox than the partition after which everyone is free to find their solution

 

The ban situation seems to only happen if you open Aquarius App with R2R'd versions, so in theory if you remove them from the plugin folder and use the original framework downloaded from Acustica it shouldn't be a problem, I'm going to test it this week on another laptop.

For the issue of bans I foresee big trouble to giancarlo if he is taken to court from customers who own and pay legit ones…. He only try to pathethically scare users

Do you trust a simple "uninstall process " to this point ? Not me
Clean install FROM SCRATCH or NOTHING.

And now, some ppl start to understand what i said countless times about Giancarlo shooting his own foot : ppl can't GO LEGIT without taking the risk of buying AA products FOR NOTHING. Paying AA for NOTHING and being INSTANTANEOUSLY BANNED.

So basically, war3z will stay war3z ... and some legit will start to sell to go war3z.

Was legit and went R2R. Without a single regret. My favorite plugin was already released on the Sister Site, waiting for the others i bought. I'm happy with the space R2R gave to my disk. If i had every single release on the sister site instaled, would be less space than the ones i bought and the freebies i had installed.


But, better know Gianka: R2R version runs with less CPU, less space and loads faster. So better build a product that doesn't need to be improved by "crackers", if you don't want your loyal customers to move to illegality. Oh, i forgot: you don't care, right?


PS: uninstall and try to sell.

Coincidence? What's interesting is that everything at acustica audio is currently reduced until December 10th ;) You might think it's bewitched

He has already said he knows about the scene and cracking. " By the time it is here it is already too late". It would just cost money to do that, and it's not going to help, so waste the money? I never understand what taking anything down accomplishes, because if someone wants to find something they will. Music and Videos are different because many people who are consumers for that material are not technically minded people.

 

It'd be too ironic.

 

Because in secret he's learning each and every time R2R releases an over-bloated version of his creations and thus how to improve?

 

Had to create an account here to reply to this topic and voice my opinion. First, I want to say that I believe in supporting the software developers that I choose to use in my creative projects, so I buy the software that I use.
I have purchased a bunch of stuff from Acustica over the years, and the absurd size of the downloads/installs has always been an issue. People would make excuses for how poorly their plugins performed by saying that they were huge libraries of sampled/profiled hardware. So that apparently justified the size and terrible performance.
People would also respond to such criticisms with "Your computer is just not powerful enough to run them!" and they have bred a certain obnoxious elitism in that way.
I stopped using the software of theirs that I purchased, because it never ran well, across multiple, increasingly powerful computers. Bugs and other instability issues were never addressed etc.
Now it turns out that the size and terrible performance was the result of an incredibly anti-consumer anti-piracy measures!

Zaphod as usual, cannot see passed his own ego. He attempts to justify and rationalize what has come to light by saying "It worked" and seems to believe that Acustica will soon be one of, if not the leading plugin brand soon...While I see their reputation, particularly with their loyal customers, being flushed down the toilet.
Piracy did not do that, they are doing that to themselves, so if they lose the support of their paying customers and fail as a company, they only have themselves to blame.

It is difficult for me to imagine myself purchasing any more software from Acustica in light of all of this, or recommending them to others, and the drama surrounding it from Acustica really isn't helping either.

 

Its a sad state where you can't voice opinions in so many places these days. People should have the right to know this kind of thing.

 

the plugins are black rectangles within fl studio. anybody know how to fix this?

 

I would be in favor of UAD plugins being hacked soon.
Not to be able to compare the products with Acustica, but to finally get rid of this crappy UA Connect bullshit.
