if you are willing to face a ban from Acustica. Can you benchmark performance of legit Acustica products vs R2R official lazy way & R2R way. Benchmark performance like how gamers benchmark Denuvo games vs cracked version?

I have a question, why do AA plugins, even ZL, appear in REAPER with a high PDC? Wouldn't it have to be zero, like PRO-Q in ZL mode?

I can't believe some people here are saying that certain Acustica audio plugs are ok and some good, they are all developed with high standards, yes you should test the plugs if you can with an app and see if they cancel out other plugs or frequencies or dont live up to their claims etc, and yes its a matter of taste but the reason I am discouraged and removed their plugins is because they take too much memory and space, they dont work via symbolic links either and there is not Mac m1 with a SSD out there that has that kind of capacity unless your willing to spend $1k, you cant use external drives as systems with the new Macs, only as user profiles. and even with a 2TB here for that I have no room in my internal drive to dumb AA unless its only AA stuff..very sad, cause I need my UAD, WAVES, Plugin Alliance, SSl, Toontracks, Neural DSP and soundtoys amongst a few

Under windows symbolic links work. I have a symbolic link to acustica vst3 which are on my samples drive to the common vst3 folder.

Would it work to just have a separate account on my PC that has the R2R versions only so I can test out without Aquarius catching the cracked files?

 

I'm wondering if this is even legal in most places in the world. If you have paid products on an account, they shouldn't be able to cut a customer off from those products if they test a crack on their own hardware. A person is free to do whatever they want with their own property. This would be like buying locks for your house from a locksmith, then you test the lock by trying to pick it and you break it, so you call the locksmith to come and fix it at your cost, the locksmith realizes you tried picking the lock, so he then removes and confiscates all of the locks that he installed, refuses to give you any kind of credit or refund, and tells you that you are free to buy new locks again from him.

For benchmarking cracked vs legit Acustica, your best choice might be to create 2 separate virtual machines with a program like Virtualbox. 1 with legit products, the other with R2R crack. Others more knowledgeable can give their input to this.

Creating a separate partition and user profile might not be safe enough even if u dont connect to internet on cracked user and ur regular user.

The safest way to do it with a partition and new user route might be if u can install the framework and vst files R2R way (not the lazy official Acustica way) on the new partition and only grant access to the framework and vst files to the new user created without connecting to internet and deleting the partition and user after benchmark. You might have to install the DAW again to the new partition and tell the DAW to only look for VST plugins at location of new partition

Instead of C drive you would add the path to the new partition.

If scared of ban from Acustica, dont attempt.

More like good-sounding Snake Oil. Did their customers actually believe the 10X file sizes were because the accuracy of the models are so sophisticated they need to be so big? Probably. It's the same BS they do with sample packs.

 

Not worth risking the license over benchmarks. Don't bother if everything is working fine.

 

today is a good day. no trashy, buggy and overrated acustica plugins. i will delete them all soon. i thought they were good. biggest disappointment ever.
