the list never ends, Antelope, Apogee, Sonnox, SIR Audio Tools (not properly k'd), Cherry Audio, new Sonarworks, Softubes synth & empirical labs, TDR Molot, hundreds of them, probably thousands.

for some people the hardware + plugins price is too high even to think about getting it if you consider currency exchange rate. you probably wont understand it if you dont live in these places. it is normal that ridiculously expensive stuff is always desirable, especially when you kept seeing fav artist/engineer using it. The chance of having a taste of it means differently to this group of people. FYI, people that just got into production, UAD's stuff are among the first "coolest" gears they will come across. I've meet a lot of newbies asking me about it, so probably that.

for me personally, the fact that someone make a digital emulator of something physical is always cool af. ie. the Virus emu project by @Ayahuasca and friends.

the UADs run, coded differently, and have different architecture compared to the one that runs natively, such as the brainworx plugins. I've read somewhere the UAD version is processed at 96/24 (HI-RES), without having to run your project at 96/24 which is +/- gives extra benefit of processing power. Also zero-latency monitoring, which is not possible with an emulator.

There are videos in youtube comparing those plugins, maybe slight difference but yeah who cares about that.

Not 3000, but it did have about 250, iirc. The new years release of Slate Digital VMR has 362 and that's the most amount of upvotes I know of, except for the R2R 10k

It's mostly just that people look at them differently because they can't have them for free, so they attain some mythic cache that they don't really deserve. People always want more the things they can't have...

 

That kind of challenge I can understand, but there is no other benefit to have the UAD when in this modern times we have all plugins cracked , even the better ones....

Actually I do. I live in that kind of places, where normal youngster can not afford even to buy legit Cubase to start from scratch a music business, by himself without any support...
Even the mentality is not like that, that you should buy what you use and abuse...
I am not from Switzerland or Sweden.

And again I don't get it, what will UAD change in our production ...
That is my opinion, yours may differ and i am okay with that, just please don't criticize me if you feel that i am in wrong...

FYI, I'm not in the mindset of UAD plugins is the best must have stuff to be successful, I just think it is cool to have it free.

Actually it simple, it seems that you forgot one simple thing...
We don't need new plugins but we are happy when we get them cause its fun! That's it! Really!
Its like getting a new toy. Lets say that UAD gets cracked (we know it wont, but lets say hypothetically that it happens...) It would be a pleasant experience for most of us to try out plugins we never had the chance before. Who said that we get plugins only for the better production usage? Also there is a problem when someone demands for new plugins... Anyway, as i already said... new plugins are fun to fiddle around and that's why we are happy when they come!

 

Yes, for sure.... But as i can see or understand, fun is maybe for you and maybe few more users, for others i cant guarantee.

WHAT IF R2R DID MADE A CUSTOM DSP FOR THE UAD TO WORK ON THE COMPUTER CPUS??
THEY FIXED THE FAULTY SLATE DIGITAL PLUGIN WITHOUT ANY SOURCE CODE SO NOW THERE ARE MANY POSSIBILITIES.

IMAHO the ALL CAPS is not necessary, I think we have thousands of plugins to replace UAD ones (for example: SSL are just wonders), I don't see the interest to have these ones in particular, nothing exceptionnal compared to thousands other ones...

Is it worth the hard and ultra-loooong hours / days / months of work necessary to elaborate patiently a hardware emulator? I don't see the interest.

EDIT: To be complete: I don't see the interest on requesting anything here.

There are plenty of plugins available on UAD that have decent native equivalents.
However, there are also plenty that don't (at least yet)...
