R.I.P. - Wayne Osmond passed away on January 1, 2025

Wayne Osmond, a former member of the American band The Osmonds, died on January 1, 2025 at the age of 73 after a massive stroke in a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, according to his brother Merrill Osmond. Wayne had been suffering from serious health problems for many years.

He was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1997, and since a stroke in 2012 he has not been able to play the guitar. As the fourth of nine children, Osmond grew up in a Mormon family in Ogden, Utah. In the fifties he played and sang in a quartet with his brothers Alan, Merrill and Jay, and from the early sixties onwards he made continuous TV appearances.

Later the brothers Donny and Jimmy and their sister Marie joined the band. The siblings reached their peak in the seventies, and the Osmonds' biggest hits include "Crazy Horses" and "One Bad Apple". In 1974, Wayne Osmond married former beauty queen Kathlyn White and had five children with her.

    Rest in peace, Wayne.
