Don't be sad. Life continues at a thin but more real astral world after the death of physical body. Sure, Stephen is now working on. ))

Would you mind if I used that track in my show this week? It would be a fitting tribute to a great spirit.

Oh my. Hawking on synth, Feynman on bongos and Patrick Moore on Xylophone. That's one crazy Great Gig In The Sky.
RIP and don't forget the need for a drummer who can keep time.

He was a huge inspiration to me growing up when I loved astronomy (I mean, I still do).
He may have been bound to a wheelchair and unable to talk except through a synthesizer but he was one of the smartest people on Earth. An inspiration to everyone. He showed that just because you have a disability does not mean you are unable to succeed in life. He was portrayed in numerous works of art such as music, movies, etc.

He definitely defied some odds with his life (considering he was supposed to die at 22 but didn't. That alone in itself is pretty amazing). He lived a good long life. He passed a lot of knowledge down to this world in the time he spent in it. He lives on through his successes, media portrayals, and best of all, his knowledge of not only the world we live in but the universe. Our duty is to not let the future generations forget it. Especially if we want to travel into space.

Rest in peace, Hawking. You will be missed.

A friend talking about A friend.......
Eckhart Tolle on his friend Stephen Hawking.... :

"But he offers inspiration, too, in teachings from spiritual leaders and his own recollections. Tolle recalls a time in the 1970s when he was a graduate student at Cambridge University. Each day at lunch, he saw the same severely disabled man surrounded by students. A few weeks later, their eyes met and, Tolle says, “I saw that his eyes were clear. There was no trace in them of unhappiness. I knew immediately he had relinquished resistance; he was living in surrender.” Years later, he saw the same man on the front of a magazine. The unknown man was Stephen Hawking, one of the world’s most famous theoretical physicists. Tolle writes, “There was a beautiful line in the article that confirmed what I had sensed when I looked into his eyes many years earlier. Commenting upon his life, he said (now with the help of the voice synthesizer), ‘Who could have wished for more?’”

I saw this thread hours ago, but didn't know what to post. I'm grasping for words... I feel about as sad as when Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke and Karl Sagan passed away.

These people have influenced my life a lot with their work. Some people are just special like that. Some part of me died with them, but most parts will live in me and my work and philosophy, too, for as long as I live. Farewell, Stephen!

There is a much greater, more real science to come, when quantum physics, sacred geometry, mathematics, and religion re-unite, as it was in the beginning. Dualism is separation and logic is too limiting, and they are coming to the end of their era. Left-brain logic will give way to right-brain intuition. The psychics, scientists, mathematicians, poets, and priests will come together to form a new spiritual-science. Many more answers will come there.

A great man with a once in a lifetime intelligence dies and it's all about m9cao and his petty pernicious self aggrandisement. As usual cowards inflate their self importance from behind a keyboard. How about you go to Cambridge University and give a lecture on your intellectual superiority?

there was a book by a man who had a stroke, meaning he couldnt move anything but he eyes and he described his condition as being free in terms of his mind, i a not talking about the body (it was for sure not easy with that), but as you can maybe see he was in his mind unbounded because he was bounded in his body.
thats why i felt this was not accurate ...
