Robert John was an American singer and songwriter.
His trademark was his falsetto voice; his greatest success was Sad Eyes from 1979.

As a teenager, he was already on the road with a group of street musicians in New York and made his first recordings at the age of twelve. At the time, he was successful as Bobby Pedrick. His debut single White Bucks and Saddle Shoes in doo-wop style reached number 74 in the US charts in 1958. Pajama Party was another hit the following year, but it failed to reach the charts.
