Mike Peters, singer of the British rock band "The Alarm," has died. The musician, who performed with greats such as Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen, fought cancer for decades and dedicated himself to cancer patients worldwide through his organization "Love Hope Strength."

London. The frontman of the band The Alarm, Mike Peters, has died. He died of cancer at the age of 66, the British news agency PA reported, citing a charity he co-founded. The Welsh band rose to prominence in the 1980s, releasing songs such as "Sixty Eight Guns," "Rain In The Summertime," and "Strength."

Peters toured with U2 and Status Quo during his career and also played with Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. He was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 36, PA reported. A rapidly growing lymphoma was discovered last year.
