R.I.P. Kim Simmonds (Savoy Brown) deceased 12/13/2022. English songwriter, guitarist and singer Kim Simmonds on December 13 at the age of 75 succumbed to his cancer diagnosed in August 2021. The Welshman was one of the co-founders of the blues band Savoy Brown in 1967. The combo remained active into the 2020s, playing countless tours since its inception and releasing well over thirty albums. Simmonds himself also released five solo works.
