    With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of the legendary and beloved Bass-D, a true pioneer of hardcore.

    Rest in peace, legend.

    I learned with deep regret about the passing of Eugenio Dorwart (Bass-D) — a true legend and one of the pioneers of Dutch hardcore.

    He was at the origins of the genre in the 90s, lit up Thunderdome stages alongside King Matthew, founded Masters of Hardcore which saved and developed the scene in tough times, mixed iconic compilations, and inspired generations.

    Hardcore will never die as long as his tracks and the memory of him live on.

    Rest in peace, legend.

    My condolences to the family, friends, and the entire hardcore family.
