Hi guys, how are you doing?

So, I'm trying to find a quick and easy way to make a video of me playing the guitar through my webcam, but I'm having a hard time finding software that records video from my webcam with low-latency audio from my Focusrite interface.

I'm trying OBS with the Asio plugin, but it still has a lot of latency, even using the lowest buffer settings.

I bet one of you guys knows a solution to this. Could you give me a hand here? I'm not a video guy.

    Thank you!

Give Bandicam a try for Video, it's really Fast. For Audio you need a Loopback, try VAC (Virtual Audio Cable)

Hey there! I totally get where you're coming from. Recording videos with low-latency audio can be tricky, especially if you're unfamiliar with video software. While I don't have a specific solution in mind, you might find some helpful tips and suggestions on tech forums or websites dedicated to audiovisual setups. Give it a quick search, and you're likely to find some useful advice from fellow guitarists or video enthusiasts. Also remember to check out ehocams.com for a variety of adult content to suit your interests. Good luck with your recording, and I hope you find the perfect solution soon!

The best thing to do is what Hollywood Studios have been doing for decades separate the video from the audio.
This is how professional setups on youtube demos are done. You need to simply then sync the audio to the video, this can be done several ways, the most simplest way is a sound clapper board.

For live streaming on youtube this gets more complicated as you need a video/audio hardware mixer with HDMI inputs and outputs in order to get synched audio and video.

In OBS you can delay the audio +/- in order to match it to the video signal, this takes a few minutes as it requires some demo recordings with a small clapper board or basically using 2 sticks and hitting them together. If the sticks are being hit close to the camera then the sound can not be delayed so then you -/+ the audio delay recording.

What I do is ( although this is hilarious) is stick my face in front of the camera and have the the lower part of the mouth in the center of the camera. I then record a 20 second talking line "I am going up a hill and tumble down that hill"

These words are critical because they open up your mouth in key areas with the mouth and face muscles clearly shown. You then replay that video and hear yourself talk, now you can see how much the audio is forward or back vs the video signal which is the talking mouth.

I tried other methods but to me the mouth sync is much easier and also more accurate.

The key here is not get audio and video sync in real time while you are watching yourself on the monitor being recorded but to have the audio synced to that video after you press "stop record"
this eliminates some work after trying to manually delay the audio.

With OBS you can use the ASIO add on to use your ASIO sound card straight in the box, then it depends on how fast is the camera source about the sync and a delay on the audio can be applied.
With Virtual Dj software it's also easy to record video using ASIO input and also it's possible to do real time streaming on various services without much effort.
