What voucher? The only email I've received is one where they say that they have a 48h sale. No voucher included.

Ahh, okay! I have never paid for any of their plug-ins so I don't receive them. All of the PA plug-ins I have are from their giveaways and "free" vouchers :bleh:

I wonder how much you have to spend to receive a $25 monthly voucher.

I wonder as well. You must probably spend at least 50$ in a year to get it.

I do have to say this 1176 acts and sounds like an 1176 should. No pumping like some other plugins, no mud or other nasty frequencies added.

There is no dongle . There great plugins tbh and good developer. There office in Germany got flooded really bad and damaged lots of equipment .
I’ve brought loads of plugs on the deals there’s not many left for me to buy
Voucher wise 25 you have to spend 50 , 50 you have to spend 75 , 75 you have to spend 99 . I get a monty voucher 75 which is brilliant it helps towards extra plugins or higher priced one. Also you get further discount for owning other plugs

No dongle needed . You only need a usb stick if you wish to have license on there . I personally have my license on a usb because I have two macs it saves using two different licenses I only need the one on usb . And if usb breaks I just deactivate it from my account . But again you don’t have to do it that way you can just license you computer direct , you don’t even have to use the plugin manager once you’ve licensed you’re first plugin you can select that device in you’re pa account and download a new license for new plugins you buy . Quite simple process

I did pick up the purple audio mc77 yesterday , it wasn’t 9 euros it was $29 and after vat $36 . Was still worth it imo. I spent the day testing it against my klark teknik kt76 hardware clone and I could match my hardware pretty much with the software . The only difference I noticed was the software could be pushed harder with the noise floor compared to the hardware but that’s only down to the tubes inside and I intend to upgrade those once I have a second unit so I can get matching tubes for both and have a stereo link mode done to both units . The purple audio mc77 is a great sounding fet compressor

76kt has no tubes, its a fet, solid state compressor.
Yes, purple sounds and behaves like hardware, with a tad less depth that hardware gives you.
The most important are the attack and release here are right, compared to most plugins that are wrong or have a narrow field of action.

Yes agreed I head my head in the clouds early here . I was also thinking about the klark teknik eqp pultec clones that’s the one with the tubes . That’s my next order and was looking at mods this morning and got confused between the two units .

Eqp kt is a very fine equalizer. Here the difference between plugins and hardware is bigger than with the compressors.
Stock tubes sound good. I prefer the sound of klark teknik pultec over the warm audio pultec.

Great deal. XLA3 can do a lot of things, from gentle to very nasty, saturated in your face compression.

The klark get a lot of bad feedback but I’ve not had any issues with mine and I never used a real 1176 or pultec so wouldn’t know the difference . But I like working with my kt76 on vocals , drum hits . I still want to order another to have the stereo link done and I believe they change components to burr brown chips and the outputs to give a higher noise floor .

The noise floor on my 76kt is very low.
I have to say its built like an expensive unit, the knobs also feel expensive.
95% of the reviews on 76kt and eqpkt are actually very good. I have only seen two video reviews where there was a lot of bs told about these two units.
Vintage ua 1176 has a bit more mojo but the 76kt sounds as good as any modern revision.
Its a clean sounding unit, but i can drive mine hard with 4 buttons in with lots of saturation going on, this is one thing where it does its thing better than plugins, driving it hard.
I think some people dont take the time to calibrate it properly and are not versatile with gain staging either, so they have noise or other problems.
