    Hey guys,

I already own Damage 2 by Heavyocity. I like the darker grittier vsts. I am having trouble figuring out if Damage 2 is built upon Damage 1? Or do I need to get ahold of Dmg 1 separately (to complete my library).

    Thanks so much!

    Hope this answers your Q:

Damage 2 doesn’t replace or update the original Damage, it is an independent sample library with entirely new sample material and programming.

I guess they complement each other as Heavyocity is still selling Damage (1) for 299$

    They're different libraries.

D2 is very nice and very well Featured indeed,
and it offers great customization, like a percussion Ensemble that you can build..

But I think it still kinda builds over D1,
because D1 has lots of Great instruments/sounds/patches that are missing from D2..

Ofc both can be used standalone, they're Great libraries on their own.

But I don't know, I've got a sweet spot for the first,
as it's got very characteristic sounds, which are very different from each other,
while also being pretty much on the spot for that particular type of sound..
