As I know, EP (Extended Play) as a short mini-album can be bot vinyl EP, digital EP (e.g. digital distribution, like Skrillex - Bangarang EP).
But why we can't any long studio album (CD, digital distribution) call as LP?
First LPs and EPs were on vinyl only since earlier 20th century, then digital mini-albums appeared as EPs. Why any studio album can't be called as LP? Can't find any info surfing the Internet.
    Don't understand that...
I'm just thinking to write "LP" to the album title, which is digitally distributed.
    Guys?..

AFAIK, an EP is defined as any complete album release that is 10 tracks or less, and/or less than 25 minutes in total playing time. If the release is 10 tracks or less, but longer than 25 mins., it's an LP. if the release is more than 10 tracks, but less than 25 mins. total play time, it's an EP.

    hope that helps some.
