What does unlocked mean when referring to a release of kontakt? does it mean that i can use a commercial sample library without cracking or officially registering it? basically i want to be able to use my paid libraries on multiple machines.

It means the software is already cracked and there's no need for an external crack,serial,or medicine/keygen.

 

Typically, it means that any preexisting copyright protections have since been removed. In the case of Kontakt, that also includes severing the connection to the service center. Thus, I'm pretty sure you won't have any problems adding you're libraries onto multiple machines.

 

Hum... I don't think service center will allow him to activate his products on many machines...

Maybe there's 2 or 3 licences available (but I don't think so)

The other way is to installed unlocked kontakt... I have legit and cracked libraries and everything works fine ! (I even got legit kontakt but I have to crack it to use libraries haha

Hey guys, I have a question about registering legit libraries on an unlocked Kontakt...

I'm running legit purchased libraries with a cracked Kontakt 5.02, and I saw earlier that TREES415 mentioned that the unlocked Kontakt "also includes severing the connection to the service center".

Does this mean it is impossible to register legit libraries through an unlocked Kontakt? Or is there another way to do it?

(The only reason I want to register the libraries is so I can get updates)
