I'm not quite sure those are actual vocals but rather samples combined with the same of synth snippets.

(and maybe panned a little?)

In this specific case, it sounds like the harmonies are just pitched duplicates of the lead vocal, slightly delayed to create a little Haas effect, and then panned out wide. Very simple technique that is used a ton by Tame Impala, Bon Iver, Florence and The Lights... Usually with Antares Harmony Engine but can be done easily by transposing the audio clips yourself. Transposition, Sample Delay, Pan, Reverb!

...or actually double/triple/quadruple tracking the old fashioned way to naturally humanize it all.
