It is not about Pro Tools. You should have read the article before creating this thread. It is about the Avid MEdia Composer. I certainly am LMAO at your title. And so is every ProTools user On top of that, there is nothing funny about a widespread malware or virus infection affecting every user. It is really dumb to be laughing at that, like it is a fucking joke. Remember, one day it could happen to you.

EDiT : it's not Avid's fault, it's google chrome updater.

And if you would have read more about this problem, you would have learned that this isn't a problem of Avid at all. The reason is a Google Chrome update, that is deleting an important symlink, deep in the OSX. So if you want to laugh, laugh about Goggle. Btw there is a solution from Google to resolve this issue. Its no malware!!

Sorry about the title, i read first time on the Reaper forum one thread about Avid and iLock with presumtion to have malware.
The guy provided that link. No intention to offend the Avid lovers.

 

Apologies accepted on behalf of Pro Tools Lovers Club. With that said, I must admit that when I first read your original title I almost crap in my pants. It is always a good idea to double-check any story you hear or find on the internet., especially on Forums. Here we joke about Cubase 10Pro unlocked. Imagine if a visitor read it, and then went to another forum stating that there is a Cubase 10 pro unlocked.
