Hello all,

Today I'm feeling lazy, I've been downloading a lot of drum libraries but i notice they're somewhat 'made' to be layered. This time around i'm asking your assistance in finding some drum libraries which pack a lot of 'punch' out of the box, for convenience's sake *yes*

So are there any drum libraries you know of that are instantly useable in mainly 'dance/rnb', hip-hop and trap styles...?
I already have most sonic specialists, goldbaby, sounds in hd and soundmob packs. any help is appreciated!

By the way, while we're at it, does anyone know some good engineers who develop custom drum oneshots? like sonic specialists

How about using some creative FX yourself and making them more punchy? ;) The most quality ones are not meant to be used "out of the box" anyway. Well, it's just assh..., I mean opinion.

There are so many wonderful saturators, compressors, EQs... you can do pretty much everything with just a few more "raw", but quality libraries. In my experience, layering is often not worth the trouble, only when you find the original sound that you really like lacking sub, for instance. Then you layer it with some sub, or pure sinewave. Simple. Layering is not really a "go to" practice. It's better to find the sound that is quite near the sound you want and tweak it a little.

I myself am using Goldbaby and Wave Alchemy samples the most, but I tweak them quite much so they fit the mix completely. There's no way you can do a good mix without tweaking the sounds, making them glue together more.

 

this is not so important anymore, can't get everything fully automated and out of the box indeed.. silly me
