    Hello,

I have a problem with my true strike 1 library. Kontakt won´t load the lib cause of missing background.tga.

It´s the new structured version of true strike. I couldn´t find the old version.

Does anyone have this tga-file, so that I can search it manually, if Kontakt asks for?

It seems, that this is included in an other file, but I don´t know what file it is. In the complete structure, there is no such file. Maybe it´s in the ninct file?

Thx a lot for helping, cause my big orchestral template won´t load up in cubase, because cubase crashes... :/

    best
    Stefan

I just read, a background.png should also work. Maybe, someone has a png or tga file?

Does it load up at all or is the GUI messed up as it loads but no background?
Thing is unless the background png etc an essential functioning part of the GUI it might still load up with all relevant controls in place. I seem to remember some problems with this library years ago also.
First thing to check is say with a batch resave but make sure when you search the Root folder you click alternative file types in case there say .png present as opposed to .TGA as mentioned.
First of obviously if someone got the missing png etc it gonna help but there are a also a few options depending on the circumstances. What are the exact specs of the library itself as in - is it encoded and what format samples are in?
If it purely cosmetic and non functional there a possibility that you could make on and replace it.
Won't look the same & dimensions will be questionable if unknown but could work under correct circumstance etc.
If the background also named in the script & you can access it you could also rename in script and apply to background of your choice etc.
Could also just make a simple background but name it the same as Kontakt searching for.
Normally with a missing background library will still load but just without background so suspect it possibly something else as mentioned rather than specifically that problem.
Not entirely 100% what you mean here :dunno:
If it the .nicnt you wouldn't be able to add to the library tab if the library is encoded. The nicnt has nothing to do with say the library background GUI .png/.tga
The background .tga or .png will either be stored in the Resources folder of the Root folder itself or directly read from the NKR which in the case of encoded libraries is normally in the samples folder alongside the .nkx\.nkc
There also a faint possibility if installed say by an installer that it is in the Kontakt Factory Folder etc

So is possibly the nkr that messed but could be a few things

Thx a lot for your answer kloud. Good to know, that this tga-file is included in the gui or nkr file.

Cubase crashes when i load my big orchestral template and it will not search for the missing file.

    BUT

In Ableton I was able to search and found the missing background-file on an old drive from a older version of true strike. So I will open all saved multis one by one, searching for the missing file and when it´s found, I save the multi. I hope, it will recognize the path to the file, so that I can use it after this procession in Cubase.

    Maybe it will work.

I will be back in a couple minutes.

Cubase crashes after loading the template, no matter if I clicked on "Skip Missing" or "Abort Loading" on the kontakt window while the loading process. That´s annoying.

I could open this kontakt multi in an empty file, but saving it with the background file, doesn´t seem to work. On the other project it is missing the file. It will not be saved in the multi. :/

I don´t know, how I could start cubase without loading the corrupt kontakt library within the template. Anyone an idea?

Interesting, hmmm first thing I would do is sort out the library in Standalone mode, i.e open in standalone and re-save all the patches etc which will then tell you whether ity the library itself or possibly something else that is crashing Cubase.
You mentioned Multis as in NKM? They not monolith patches as in multisampled percussion kits I take it? They also updated that library in recent times? - So first off would make sure everything loads correct standalone etc.
As for cubase crashing with the template there must be a way as in from initial load start a new project rather than recall the last etc If you look for the source of say the stored project and re-locate or move temporally then when cubase scans on initial load it won't find the project etc.
Then you can work from there as in unselecting VST that scanned till you sorted the problem maybe?
