Hi guys! I am new here and I hope you will help me. Week ago I downloaded ProjectSam Symphobia 3 Lumina, but it´s impossible to add it to Kontakt. Using "Add Library" it gives me "No library found", or "Cannot add library", using "'Quick" it says "Your library needs to be added, use Add Library". I am really confused, I tried to download nicnt file again, but the result is the same. Can anybody help me please? My Kontakt player is 5.6.0. Dave

Have you added other libraries that weren't designed to be added?

If so, that library has probably taken the number/space that was meant for Project Sam and blocked this from adding.

 

Do you have kontakt registered?
You must register it t have the full kontakt, not just the player.

 

i've had the same problem with some libraries using kontakt in live a few days ago.
restart your system, maybe, for me i just had to restart live.

sometimes it happens because of updates

 

It might also be possible that your download wasn't complete or was corrupted: In the main directory of the library, check if a file called Lumina.nicnt exists.

If not, then you didn't download the full library or the download was corrupted somehow.

Nonetheless, my best guess is that this library will only work with Kontakt full version and not the player that you use.

I don´t have too many libraries and by the way during the process of trying add ProjectSam I put some of the old ones away. Still no success.

I have the version from 13.9.2016 from Audioz. I guess this is full version, if I am wrong correct me please. I am new to this and being not native english speaker it makes it sometimes more difficult.

I tried that so many times, still the same unfortunatelly...

I think you should update to 5.6.5 and register with keygen. R2R release.
Everything will work.
Or you can replace the files with the other release.
If you still have problems, PM me and i'll send you a full registered installer.

 

try to install the latest version of Kontakt (you should find the links @ Audioz) ...

 

@exr777 : But if he added Non_original libraries with IDs used by the Project Sam Libs, even a correctly installed Kontakt won't load the lib.

If the issue is not solved the way exr777 sugested try to
1. delete all Non_original libraries
2. search for them in the registry and delete the respective Reg-Keys
3. Delete corresponding Non_original Libs enties from c:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\

and then try to add the Project Sam Libs again.

The new v1.5 versions of Symphobia (including Lumina) only work with Kontakt 5.6.0 (possibly later than that) and up. You might have a much earlier version of Kontakt. Try updating to the latest version, which is always a good idea, anyway.

 

False. All Symphobias on AZ work flawlessly in K5.5.2 or K5.5.0. And it's never a good idea.

The No Library Found error could be caused by missing _info.nkx or nicnt file in root directory, but never with an "old" version.
5.5.0 will happily add 5.6.5 library to the tab, but refuse to load patches.
If those files are corrupted, download just the last portion of the archive, which usually contains the NKIs and the rest.

Also in software domain, you should never upgrade/update "just because" there's newer version. Study the changelog/release notes to see whether it contains the functionality you strive for and whether it comes with fixed bugs, etc. If not, stay with your current version. This extends to all software offerings, not just Kontakt. By doing so, you won't compromise your workflow or introduce any stability/compatibility issues that'd take precious time to get sorted out.
For example Kontakt 5.6.x still has to re-introduce bulk sample purging, which 5.5.x had.

 

The folder structure has to be right. For me the library files were not in the main, but in the sub folder. If you choose the main folder Kontakt will not detect the library file.

While you are completely correct regarding the Symphobia libraries' specs (Kontakt 5.5.0, don't know where I got 5.6.0), you are completely incorrect regarding True Strike's problems not being caused by an "old" version. In this particular case, the .nicnt file in the older version of True Strike 1(as well as a couple of other libraries, such as NI's own Akoustik Piano) does not appear to work with recent versions of Kontakt. Most library manufacturers seem to be aware of this and are issuing replacements without the hassle of logging into an account or having your software registered. This is why I specifically linked to this page on ProjectSAM's site that both explains the problem and allows you to download a replacement .nicnt file that will actually work.

And why isn't it a "good idea" to upgrade to the latest version of any software, assuming it's available? Especially Kontakt? At the rate most library manufacturers release their product, there's many instances where earlier versions of Kontakt won't load or play them. Since this discussion originated on a Mac-centric forum, we're not even discussing the problems that Windoze users are having with product keys, etc. So far, I've had zero problems with any Kontakt upgrade, and most of the problems being posted by Mac users on the other forum are either permissions-related, which is easily resolved, or with their homemade .nicnt files causing issues with libraries disappearing from their Library tab.

Weird. My Akoustic Piano doesn't even have an .nicnt and it works in 5.6.6 (R16) on Windows.

 

Even using the available nicnt file from ProjectSam site is not helping to add the TRUE STRIKE libraries in Kontakt 5.6.5 on OSX. Has anyone able to be get thru....??

 

I didn't notice a problem (on Mac) until v5.6.4 or v5.6.5, when both True Strike 1 and Akoustik Piano suddenly vanished from the Library tab. After hunting around for a bit, I saw that they had issued new .nicnts for both libraries and acknowledged there was a problem. Up until that point, I never realized that Akoustik Piano didn't even have an .ninct file (I actually went back to the installer to see if I'd somehow lost it or forgotten to install it).

Again, are you sure it's the actual Kontakt library, and not the converted GIGA library that used to float around? You might want to consider re-downloading the most recent version you can find (and make sure it's the Kontakt version).

Iggy Hi! It's kontakt library. I add to library after entering admin pass, it doesn't show up in the list. I again try to add it in the dialog says True strike already added, BUT it is not there. Also I don't have custom made .nicnt files in Kontakt. Any help
