Would love to help but the thread title is at odds with what you say in your post. You need to do at least a little bit of mixing before you can say it's a "production". Let's hear it again once you've sorted out the balance, eq, panning, compression and so forth.

    Ok, brace yourself.

It's bad production wise as well as musician-wise.
The guitars have serious timing problems.
The drums have serious timing problems.
There are passages that are so off, the only way to fix them would be to cut and edit them manually, note by note.
The recording is so bad to begin with, I doubt you can fix it in the mix.

The song is uninspired and without any unique features. It's a generic blueprint for any other college punk rock song.

Sorry to be that harsh but there really is no sugaring the pill. I'd go with @DarthFader and produce it, then post it again.

Ah! Okay. I got it. Thanks for the clarification. :)
Seeing as how @fraifikmushi has kindly posted a wonderful list of suggestions, I'll look forward to hearing how the song shapes up. Take what you will from the suggestions so far and try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I kinda liked the "live" feel of the track. Admittedly not everyone's cup of tea but I like to mix it up a little by listening both to studio and stage recordings.

    CU on the flipside.

Ya... some timing issues for sure... but overall... I dug it very much..was MY cup of tea.. very Green Day \ Gin Blossoms... couple of my favs so maybe I am biased...:hillbilly::metal:

I'm no engineer so no opinion on the mix other than was great for me..

what exactly was 'written, played' on the track?

feel like throwing some vocals on it... Wheeeeeeeeeeeee......

timing is probably guitar timing issues if you programmed the drums

im not sure about the "bad guitar playing" i mean this is as simple as you're gonna get youre gonna have to judge it for that, not because he cant play solos or some shit. BUT it's pretty damn generic
