Hey there good people of AudioSex. I mentioned this briefly on the sister site, I installed the latest version of BIAS Amp and I'm getting some mad problems, as shown below. The previous version worked perfectly, but after I installed the new version it all went tits up. I uninstalled then reinstalled the older version, but now that's doing the same thing. Both the standalone and VST are the same. Any ideas?

Looking your screen,Bias Amp seems to want loading Cabinet files.Maybe you used some of your own IR on the previous version you had?
You probably need to locate these impulse responses on your computer.
If you have really problems to do that or the plugin doesn't respond when you're clickin' on these buttons, maybe uninstall, clean your register with Ccleaner and try to find and delete any Bias Amp related files on yours HDs and then reinstall..?
I don't see any other solution for you.
Maybe some others members will answer another thing!
    Good luck!

Nope, I didn't use any IRs in the previous version, I hadn't even tried Bias Amp until a couple of weeks ago. I uninstalled again using Revo, cleaned up with CCleaner, deleted anything else I could find, reinstalled and...it's still the same. It's a mystery.

Wow, that sounds really weird. The only thing I could imagine is that the new version modified a windows system file which isn't uninstalled with the rest (for obvious reasons) and doesn't work properly anymore. In this case only a windows system restore (or a repair installation) would help.

the setup writes files ( at least the ones I've seen ) in:
    C/programs/common files/positivegrid
    C/users/-your name-/documents/positivegrid
    C/users/-your name-/appdata//roaming/positivegrid
    C/program Data/microsoft/windows/start menu/BIAS Amp2
And in you vst folder of course.

    And in regedit :
    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PositiveGrid\BIAS AMP 2 Pack (64bit)

I finally solved this, it was as simple as installing the extra presets. I installed them with the older version but they take an age to load and slow everything down, so when I installed the later version I chose not to. Reinstalling with the presets sorted it out, but slowed everything down again. I may just end up doing without Bias Amp I think. Thanks for trying to help out, chaps.

I read you can speed things up by having only the presets you want/like in the preset folder.
