hi, I have the problem that when I have to record a bass part on a backing track, when I record in addition to the bass signal the software also records the backing track on the other track, how do I solve it? thanks for any replies.

 

What DAW are you using? That will help Le Experts. Other than that, if you don't move the track that you just recorded to another free track than of course both the new and the old will be in the same lane. You could conversely leave the track where you just recorded it and change the input to another.

 

for Daw you mean the SW? Studio one, I am going crazy but it a free version.
