    hi,

    thanks

all i normally do is load up the patches and save within the song without having to save the multi also ..

ill just go and try saving the omni multi itself as well...

    Two questions:

    1. Can someone confirm this also for Windows or does all presets loaded correctly?

    2. And what's about safed presets from Omnisphere? They will be load correctly after update?

Confirmed on Win7 64bit. wont load multi when launching a project in latest Live. Wont load multi if multi was saved separately from with save multi option in Omnisphere 2.

Hi there. Same problem here. Omnisphere 2 doesn't reload used patch when you reload song. It just loads blank instances.... and when u spend some time to listen a huge bank of patch to choice one but you don't remind which one it was ..... wow :-/

Ok for me that thing worked: (at least on mac but i guess would be th same on pc)
-Erase authorization files (preferences file on mac)
    -Restart
    -Reauthorize

and Omnisphere save patch with session again
Found this on a forum. Apparently, spectrasonics said to reauthorize the plug if that happens but i don't think they really know where it comes from...

Just tried it but it didn't work in the long run. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Next day when I load the DAW project, the patch isn't saved. If I just reload the project, it's there.

It's a real pain in the ass that such a basic feature, at best, is working sporadically and at worst not at all but allow me to offer a temporary solution in the interim. You can make use of the Projects functionality in Omnisphere to store collections of patches for a specific track or project that you're working on. Simply click the Project button at the bottom of Omnisphere, navigate to Create Project and enter a name. Then while browsing through the vast library you can tag a patch and add it to the previously created project by clicking the Project button again and selecting the name that you created in the previous step. This solution is far from ideal but perhaps it could make your lives a little easier while Spectrasonics gets their act together. [IMG]

I was working on a song last night using mostly Omnisphere, and of course at the end of the night I started shitting bricks as to how to make sure that the next time I open my project I had a way to recover my work. I saved the patches individually, which turned out to be unnecessary [see update] but I'd still consider it a good idea. Then I saved the multi. Then I added the patches and the multi to a project named the same thing as my Ableton Session.

In the end all that was truly necessary was saving the multi, but I like to keep several layers of protection from losing my work. In the context of the three or four hours I put into making the track, fifteen minutes of repetitive backup work is pretty insignificant.

What I also found, which may be of use to some of you, is if I open the multi, save the project, close, reopen, rinse repeat... after two or three tries Omnisphere will load the patch on startup. This is on Win 7 x64 Ableton Live 9.2

Update: Saving the patches individually was necessary. I wouldn't believe this it hadn't happened to me. Last night Omnisphere replaced my saved multi with initialization patches. Please be careful and don't forget to save all your patches that you've redesigned and put them into projects as Cat showed us.

Thanks for sharing that. We all can relate in some way. It hasn't happened to me, yet. But, I'll be sure to make sure it doesn't.

Omni went weeks without this issue returning, then today bam empty multi. I saved the multi and the patches and and they wont load. I have saved multi's b4 and they have loaded fine and then other times they wont load at all. Jesus H I would hate to have paid for this software. I don't see this issue being discussed when I Google it.

As one last source, name your Omni tracks with the patch and info if possible just in case so you can recreate it. Oc course if you heavily edit a preset it won't help that much.
