Hi AUDIOsexiests, I recently installed Windows 10 Pro x64 on my notebook and I managed to install the other VSTs without any problems, but I can't install any of these packs at all:

Blue Cat's All Plug-Ins Pack 2021.10 CE-V.R
Blue Cat's All Plug-Ins Pack 2021.6 CE-V.R
Blue Cat's All Plug-Ins Pack 2021.5 CE-V.R
Blue Cat's All Plug-Ins Pack 2020.11 CE-V.R

this constant errors appear when starting the installation:

Every time I try to install either standalone, vst2 x64 or VST3 versions I get a different error! So I keep getting these different error warnings every time I try to install any of the above cited packs!

In reference to the error "Out of memory", I tested my 16GB o ram memories with 2 diagnostic tools and everything is fine with them. Likewise, I have had no problems with any other VST except these packs. Any advice/suggestion to be able to install any of these V.R. packs?

NOTE: I use Blue Cat's All Plug-Ins Pack 2021.6 CE-V.R on my PC (Win 8.1 Pro x64) without any problem! what a heck!

Hello @Mynock, I'm on Windows 10 - 64 - this one works without Problems: Blue.Cats.All.Plugins.Pack.2021.10.CE-V.R
The Out of Memory: The warning did not necessarily have to do with working it is mostly faulty programs that generate this message.

Do not install the "Standalone App" but only the VST3.

Step by Step

1.) Uninstall

2.) Delete these files:

C:\Users\YourName\Documents\Blue Cat Audio
C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Blue Cat Audio
C:\ProgramData\Blue Cat Audio
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Blue Cat's

3.) Use the CCleaner and clean your PC.

4.) Restart the PC

5.) Download .NET Framework (only a recommendation)

6.) Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes All-in-One (only a recommendation)

7.) Restart the PC

8.) Install the last Blue Cat Audio Plugin Pack 2021.10.CE-V.R as VST3



System Requirements / Windows
- An SSE2-enabled processor (Pentium 4 or newer).
- Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 or 10.
- For the plug-in, any VST / AAX compatible host software (32 or 64 bit).
- For the standalone application, an ASIO, MME or WASAPI compatible audio interface (ASIO recommended).

My dear friend thanks a lot for the reply, unfortunately I think my Windows 10 is not working well. Recently I tried to install other applications and I have always had some error with temporary files and/or with certificate installation (other versions of vsts created by VR are also showing problems with certificates and temporary files). I come to the conclusion that there must be a problem with my instalation of windows 10, be it the image I used to install it or a data corruption due to the notebook's HD (from 2016). Still very grateful for the answer. Note: I have never seen such a bad version of windows. Microsoft really managed to outdo itself this time around... So, I'm deeply hating with all my guts Windows 10. I'm seriously tempted to go back to Windows 8.1 PRO (where everything ran easy, no certificate or windows defender issues, a dream come true!), but I must keep this big pile of horseshit, 'cos Win8 support has been declining, so I think the time to suffer is now...

I have similar problems. I don't think it is your Windows (maybe some permission settings) that is unstable. My Windows 10 is very stable but still getting the "out of memory" error when V.R. -ed. I'll suggest the same thing I suggested in Mike's thread, even though it didn't work for him. Earlier this year, I had this same Out of Memory error with another V.R release, as did other users at the time, and installing any pending Windows updates fixed the issues for us. It's almost like that error is a catch-all for a wide variety of 'problems' that the installer runs into. My theory/guess was that maybe a pending update to something such as .net framework was blocking the install in some way.

That may or may not fix the error for you, but I'd suggest you start with that, as it's a weird one that can be tough to solve if that isn't it. I will also suggest that the problem is with the V.R installers (they're a bit notorious for a variety of problems), not Windows. Just my 2 cents. That said, I guess I wasn't quite clear with what you said, but sounds like you have issues with other installers than just V.R, so maybe there is something wrong with your Windows install (in which case, I do think post #2 in this thread is worth doing).

Please check if no update is pending
If an update is pending, the install starts then you get the "out of memory" message and the installer closes.

Hi fellas, thanks to everyone who responded and/or has been following the post!

I performed all these procedures and found no problem at all!!! The logical conclusion seems to be: "If the steps above don't work, you may need to reinstall Windows." , thing I'm not going to do, after having installed almost 300 plugins.

2)"Could be Windows Defender" (my WinDef is totally disabled - I tried several ways to restart it but I can't, it looks like it's definitively terminated!, no Microsoft Defender SmartScreen, no DEP-Data Execution Prevention-, and all those other annoying security options are disabled.

3)"Please check if no update is pending" My version is

OBS: There are only optional updates left, referring to drives (network, bluetooth, USB, Wifi, Air Plane Mode Switch, etc) that I didn't run because my Notebook is a DELL Inspiron 5547 (16GB RAM - http://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/inspiron-15-5547-laptop_reference guide_en-us.pdf). I installed all the drives suggested by the manufacturer. And everything worked ok. When I did the update on WiFi driver as suggested by Windows Update (WiUp), I had a problem (I was unable to connect via WiFi), so I reverted to the version made available by DELL. Due to this problem, I'm not doing the optional updates suggested by Windows. Do you guys think I should perform these optional updates? I was wary after performing an update suggested by WiUp and having compatibility issues...

Procedure done, and I didn't notice any difference.
I performed several procedures, from Windows Memory Diagnostic, Update my Graphic Card Driver, even procedures from Youtube tutorials that suggest procedures to stop "Out of memory" diagnostics, without any success.

Among the procedures that I didn't do, there remains Look for Software Problems (time-consuming) and Run Windows 10 in Safe Mode (which I believe will not solve, but I'll test later). Anyway, I would like to be among the users who enjoy the great functioning of Win10 (yada yada yada), but my initial experience is one of deep disgust: I never had a similar problem or even had to perform all these procedures in Windows 8.1 PRO (updated). That's why I say that my experience is one of profound dislike regarding this shitty OS.

EDIT: Fortunately I managed to install the R2R Patchwork which is working extremely well. The problem is the other BC plugins (AcouFiend v1.1.0; Axiom v1.6.1; Destructor v1.6.1; DP Meter Pro v4.3.0; Late Replies v1.5.1; MB-7 Mixer v3.4.1; Re-Guitar v1.2.0; Re-Head v1.2.0) which are either outdated or not even released at all (in R2R releases).

Have you installed another virus monitor / antivirus software from another manufacturer? Because third-party anti-virus software automatically deactivates Windows Defender.

You don't necessarily have to update, I haven't been dating myself for a long time, but my PC installs all V.R relases.

Great @Mynock, that you checked everything.

Please check your mailbox, I have uploaded 2 versions of V.R., just try running the setup and then please report the error message.
Should you then have an error, please look in the " Windows" --> Event Viewer --> Error Reports " and post the error here.
