I notice that the settings of the VST never save with the project and will just revert to the last setting by which i Had it.

For example, today I opened up an old project in which I had a bright piano in and it was playing with the velocity/reverb setting i had when i last used the VST

Anyone else having this issue and knows of any fixes?

 

No problem here( true piano v1.9 / live9 / win7 x64 )

May be it has something to do with your daw ? ( Which one ?)

I have this issue with a few VST's so
You might try this :
-save the preset as .fxp (with DAW's option - i dont see user presets in TP)
-save your DAW's project.

Now to test it :
Tweak TP params ( something obvious)
Close project without saving
Open project and See

im in fl studio 11

i also use maschine 1.8 and this problem exists there as well

i think it has to do with the vst itself

it would be a hassle to save the preset for every time i use the vst

and i already dont know how to retrieve the sound for old projects

 

I also use maschine (v2 and did use 1.8) and never had this issue.
If all your vst's have this problem ... hmm ... may be you should reinstall FLStudio ...
i just did that with Live9 today (for other reasons - a well spent 20 minutes indeed )...
I don't know how FL Studio handles that, but Live9 does not remove users data ...
Better check for that before you do it.

For the piano, not really ... it's just a good habbit i developped while using "noobs dev freebies that have a lot of issues"
But definitely a big problem for Maschine.
Really which i could help more ...

Our friend whalemusic99, it would not be "every time I use the vst", but rather only when you save your project.If you are the only one having this problem (I too am using FLS 11 and have tested true piano with no difficulties)and feel that saving is problematic, heed suefreeman's advice and do a re-install of FLS, and if that does not solve it do a re-install of True Pianos.
