The sentence of many users usually starts like this " Everything else works only contact causes crashes".
Most of the support requests we have here are because of NI Kontakt.
It's like drawing lots, most of the time it's a loser and sometimes it's a jackpot. Everything is a question of the right version...!

From what I gather, there is a known issue with the vst3 implementation of Kontakt 6.7.1 and in some earlier versions as well.
In Cubase Pro 12 the vst3 causes Cubase 12 to crash when you try to load Kontakt.

Steinberg are blaming Native Instruments for not updating their coding, and Native Instruments are just saying nothing.
I have heard it happens in other DAW's too.

How I have got around it is to install the vst2 version only which does not cause a crash.

It is nothing to do with cracking groups as it is happening to some legit users too.
