    Hello,

I have a strange problem with the Abbey Road Drummer series.

No matter which kit I try to load, there are no samples being loaded at all.
The GUI for the instrument is loaded, but I can't play anything, since there are 0 samples in the RAM.
Clicking on "Purge" -> "re-load all samples" doesn't do anything.
I don't get any error message from Kontakt either.

This goes for all kits of the series I have (60s, 70s, 80s and Modern Drummer).

I can load all my other Kontakt libraries without any problems.
I tried removing and adding a library again, but it didn't help.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?
This libraries worked fine in the past, btw.

Using the latest Kontakt 5.2.1 and Windows 7 64 bit.

u patched those libraries to pass from AR drums to AR Drummer... the problem is that the new .ncint are not enough to read encrypted samples, so u must add the old info.nkx from those libraries again, but put them in a different folder than the one in wich u keep the new .ncint, after that you can remove the old tabs from knotakt but keep the activation folders in the sysreg (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments)

i cant help you for the 80's since i have the drummer version but for the others use this:

make a .reg with notepad and paste this in it, then add to registry:

    @ commositore

    Many thanks for your help.

But if that's the reason, why did the libaries work perfectly for several months?

I'm afraid I don't have the old info.nkx files anymore.

add those line to registry and it will fix all but 80s drummer. they stopped works simply cause these lines are not in the registry anymore, or a registry cleaner, or you have added libraries manually overwriting those.

    Thanks again.

I'm afraid I don't really know how exactly to add something to the registry.
All I did before was deleting registry entries, but not adding. *no*

Do I need that software you mentioned above for it?

Thank you - unfortunately, that didn't help.

I think the problem must be something else, since these libraries worked fine in the past.
(and I don't use registry cleaners)

I de- and reinstalled Kontakt, tried everything suggested above again, but nothing helped.

    Anybody got an idea?

Could somebody be so nice and upload the old info.nkx files for the 60s, 70s, 80s and Modern Drums for me, please?
They are very small, so it should be a matter of 2 minutes raring and uploading them.

Send me the link per PM, don't post it here...

    Many thanks in advance.

First of all I recommend that you use KLM 3 (Kontakt Library Manager) and always make a backup of your Kontakt library registry entries, that way if anything goes wrong you could try restoring and see if it helps. Maybe try uninstalling the library and then reinstalling it? Usually if I didn't have any other libraries installed I would just uninstall Kontakt and clean out all traces of it in the registry and then do a clean install, this usually irons out any issues. That is however drastic and a pretty involved process to boot. If you want to try then read this http://audiosex.pro/index.php?/topic/8121-kontakt-52/page__p__49333__hl__%2Bkontakt+%2Blibrary__fromsearch__1#entry49333 and the other thread linked to in the end of that one. I wish I could help you beyond that but I haven't encountered this issue and I don't use Abbey Road drums.

I already tried all of that.

Made a backup with KLM 3, de-installed Kontakt, cleaned registry, re-installed... same.

Many thanks, though... maybe somebody else has the files I need (that might help).

Thanks SO MUCH! I know this post is a few years old, but as of 2-17-19 for Kontakt 5.8 (Win. 7 64), after doing a custom nicnt add using both KLC.exe & AddLibrary.exe, this helped me fix "The patch is encrypted and cannot be loaded unless the respective Library is registered properly" error with no downgrading to Kontakt 5.6 necessary, as has been the suggested fix to register Abbey Road Modern Drums I've read elsewhere. Everything loads, I am only missing pics for the kits I only see gray boxes, but hey, beggars can't be choosers!
