    Hi, everyone.

I recently obtained a few Ueberschall .liquid files from a sister site. I want to extract all the .wav files from each library, including their original names, but one of them, "Saxophone", doesn't seem to work when converting from "Saxophone.liquid" to "Saxophone.elastik".

When importing this soundbank to Elastik 3, it says that "the soundbank could not be opened. Failed to parse metadata xml:".

Is there a workaround to this? Does anyone else know how to get the original .wav files from this particular library?

Can I export the samples to wave format?

Yes. There are two options available for wave export:

Export a full soundbank to wave format.
To export a full soundbank start Elastik and click on the cog symbol in the upper right corner. Select SOUNDBANKS / ACTIVATION from the menu. Select the soundbank you want to export from the list and click the button EXPORT WAV.

Export an individual loop to wave format.
To export an individual loop load it from the browser onto the keyboard / pad area in Elastik and then right-click (ctrl-click on macOS) the key / pad. Select EXPORT -> EXPORT MODIFIED / EXPORT ORIGINAL from the menu. MODIFIED will export the loop with all the changes you made in Elastik, ORIGINAL will export the loop without any changes. Note: This also works with multi-selection.

Right. I understand I can do that for all of my banks. However, the bank that is giving me problems is called "Saxophones.liquid". It's in a .liquid format.

I've read on other posts similar to this stating that you can change the extension of ".liquid" to ".elastik", but when I did it to this exact bank and when I tried to add this bank to Elastik 3, this is what I see.

The soundbank does not load for me at all, so there is no way for me to export it. I am asking why this error occurs and what I can do to fix it.

Format Compatibility: The ".liquid" format was originally designed for Ueberschall's Liquid Instruments, which use Melodyne technology for detailed audio manipulation. While some Liquid soundbanks have been updated to work with the Elastik Player, not all are directly compatible.

Renaming Extensions: Simply changing the file extension from ".liquid" to ".elastik" does not make the soundbank compatible with Elastik 3. The underlying file structure and metadata must align with Elastik's requirements.
