Took the dive into Windows 10 Pro & have an option from Microsoft to grab the Enterprise ISO at no additional cost.

Grabbed a Lenovo S30 Thinkstation Workstation/Server

Windows 10 Pro, 32gig ECC RAM, 512SSD, 1TB 7200HD, 2TB 7200HD, 600W PS, NVidia K600 Quadro
DVD-RW, USB2.0, USB 3.1, on-board RAID controller, 1GB ethernet, SATA 2, SATA 3, eSATA, SAS (SCU), XEON E5-1620V2 (LGA-2011R2) 3.7GHz 4 core, 8 thread CPU.

Took the same test I did with my son's Surface Book 2 using the 24 track version. Kept stacking 24 at a time until overall CPU hit 97%.

Test improved after some Windows 10 tweaking. Still a long way to go.

System never choked or spit through 2 test runs. Very impressed!

Stress Test Setup (basic description):

1 session with 12 tracks (3 tracks w/15 plugins x 4 = 60 total plugins)
1 session with 24 tracks (3 tracks w/15 plugins x 8 = 120 total plugins)

48 tracks = 240 total plugins
96 tracks = 480 total plugins

All plugins are installed Avid aax included with Audiotopia 12.5 version.
