sorry my bad, it wasn't a dll: i did change the ''ProtoolsApp.vdb'' and the loading window was the one the changed

 

or maybe the ''hanzatheme.idb''? what it does??? i mean, there's a reason what we have to copy that to the protools folder, right?

 

all this is with the idb's are covered in the initial thread post. many are skipping the video, that will help you understand what joecrisp is doing by copying pasting the dark one, its just filled with png resources used in the skins (again, covered in teh video)

thanks, but I was referring to the exported pngs. I'm interested to look into the icons and image pngs.
I don't have Protools or Windows. That's why I'm asking.

 

You can use the script Anon provided to extract the PNG's from the files in the above link, look at the first page to find the script, Anon did an amazing job putting it together, there's also a video showing you what to do

It's going to be hard to get the text to work, according to Anon, it's connected to the pro tools executable and another file as well, I've been trying with no success, hopefully someone smarter than me with coding can figure it out, hopefully......someone will crack Ilok 3 so we might could get a newer version of pro tools and some newer plugs as well

and about the text colors, those files are protools.exe and protools.dll?? i put the second one because when i replaced it with the one from the 2020 version, i had to request to put the ilok... so i suppose that it must handle a lot of functions of the daw

 

Yeah, I've tried replacing them both, and several other .dll's, I ended up having to reinstall my 12.5......lol

 

Well, if we want a dark theme, here's the other DAW's that have them. Cubase, studio one, reaper, mixcraft, etc.... basically everyone beat Avid to the punch on this one, heck, Reaper is probably the most stable and lightweight DAW on the market today

 

oh that's bad man lol... well at least we have the dark theme on protools... it's not good, but not bad at all...

 

i got it on studio one 5 and it's freaking awesome!! i think that studio one is as lightweight as reaper man and it's more simple than it... but it's because i like, so who cares?

 

I have Studio One 5, I've recorded some song s in it, it's definitely making it's way up into the big leagues, and will give PT a run for the money, especially with Avid's shitty customer service

 

i love the fact that and entire comunity is migrating there and making studio one some sort of standard without having the entire marketing that protools has lol
