Hi everybody!

I would like to buy Pro Tools 12 but I use a few cracked softwares as well. There are two questions I got for you:
- How can I use my iLok account with the legal things together with the cracked software? Are the cracked programs only on local in the iLok manager?
- How is the experience with cracked plugins (AAX and VST) on Pro Tools? I heard that a lot of people had some real trouble with this stuff.

So all the AAX plugins won't load, only with KeyGen and free ones?

Sorry, I forgot to mention: Of course VSTs itself won't work in Pro Tools but they will work with a patcher, don't they? What do you mean with "severely affected"?

Might you tell me how to handle the first question/the iLok problem?

EndArb...Yes to AAX that use Keygens. VSTs going through patchwork and such use a bit more cpu and have a tendency to add latency to the signal. They can be adjusted to fix the situation but definitely a disruption to workflow in the end while trying to troubleshoot problems that wouldnt be there normally. Ilok stuff can be used with cracked ilok stuff too. I hope that answers your questions.

One last question:
How does the iLok thing work then? Are the cracked licenses only on my PC (so local in the iLon manager) and the legal ones in my account which will work in parallel so that there is no connection between local with cracked and own account with legal software?

 

You don't have to get worry about this, it works in every possible situation. I have licenses on local hard drive, on ilok and use some cracked plugs without any problems.
