Hey all, I was pointed over here after trying to post a request, I hope this is the right place to ask about this.

I picked up a Digidesign 002 rack unit yesterday and want to use it with an older laptop that has built-in firewire, running WinXP. The last compatible version of the drivers and Pro Tools LE is 8.0.5, which is available to dl from and will install but asks for an authorization code. There's a dead upload that mentions "crbs-pt8.nfo" that contains the serial, but it doesn't appear to exist anywhere online now. The 002 functions as the dongle for LE so there's no reason that I shouldn't be able to run this old version of PT.

If anyone happens to have that old nfo and can post/pm an auth code, I'd definitely appreciate it.

 

Thanks a ton, is that from the SerialBox app for Mac? I also have an old iBook running os9 but the drive is too full to use as a studio machine, but I use that all the time. Didn't think to check that since I assumed it would be a different serial for mac vs windows.
