I'm kind of surprised they're only supporting Win10 from here on out since it isn't *cough* "preferred by many. I still us Win7Ult. since it's a crapshoot if Win10 will allow a lot of my audio crap to work...or even install...or even work for more than 30mins without explorer crashing (an issue I've had since it was fresh out of the package.)
Not trying to start a OS turf war, but I think that PreSonus is going down a path that's going to alienate a lot of users, as most people I know who make music--not just people who dink around--still use Win7. As I've mentioned before, I shouldn't be spending as much time trying to find workarounds and solutions within an OS as I do making music; simple as that. :suicide:
That being said, I'm happy for all of you people using Win10 who don't seem to have any issues; maybe my copy of Win10 is harboring a Kandarian Demon, Hell-bent on making my life miserable...it would explain a lot.
I'm hyped that PreSonus are on top of their bug fixes, as per usual, though.
Thanks for the info on the update, mickey.

I know it's no consolation, but soon other software companies will be forced to do the same. We all know after a certain time MSoft forces us to switch to the newest OS.
The part we all "see" is the classic "new DirectX version suspiciously not compatible with previous versions". Gamers are already grabbed by the balls.
The second phase is more subtle because is an increased pressure to the software programmers to switch to Windows 10. No matter what program, if it's complex and has a Windows version you need to use MSoft's "Visual Studio". The pressure increases gradually until you have to switch to it or spend twice the time only for making it Windows7/8 compatible. I've experienced that only by compiling JUCE plugin projects and making minor modifications.

But it could be a lot worse if you compare to Mac OS...

Never upgrade and buy a new computer at some point... There are studios with like 10+ years old software/hardware that are still do the job and have clients. The "latest and greatest" is a mania.

Tab to transients gets stuck... No shit..

This bug has existed since S1 v1.0, and it's only just been addressed...

The current version os and the one before are usually supported for for most software, but that doesn't mean it will stop working. Some daw works great on old versions even though they say they are not supported. So there is no reason to worry.

But s1 is unstable on supported os so there is no point for that statement anyway.

you mean move automation from scrtchpad to arrange ?
One way might be to export a musicloop which contains the automation

  12. They have no choice. Windows 7 is officially dead and Microsoft Partnership requires they stop supporting it.

  13. Bug fixing is like a chocolate box, the coffee creme goes first and the fudge and avocado cluster goes last. (The easy and important stuff gets fixed first, the difficult and trivial stuff goes last).
