We don't want to have political debates here, so let's agree that people need a functioning power grid to make music.
And also more cash in their pockets so they can buy a DAW, etc.

The main problem faced by CEOs who are incompetent in the field they oversee is that their subordinates who are competent in that field are too afraid of losing their jobs to dare to contradict them.

Given the surprisingly small number of artists from Gaza who have made it onto the international music scene over the past 3 decades, it is possible that developing and manufacturing homemade rockets using saltpeter and sorbitol has monopolized their attention more than the most affordable DAWs could have done...

I use Studio One quite a lot. My first concern was whether Fender is a public company because that would put shareholders in charge and they're only interested in the bottom line. Fender considered this some years ago but changed their mind. However, there is a large majority shareholder, Servco Pacific Co., who I know nothing at all about. So for now Fender isn't an EA Sports style enterprise (bye bye Real Racing 3) but if they ever do go public I doubt Fender Studio will survive for very long because they can't keep pumping the price up when there's so much stiff competition. I doubt Fender guitars would last long as well, I can hear the board meeting now: 'Do these guitars really need six strings? Let's remove 3'.

But you started it when you wrote that thing on Gaza so it's not cool to play the "No politics" card as soon as people start reacting to what you wrote.

So is this now Studio One 8 but rebranded into Fender? Slightly confused.

One thing I liked about it is the included Mustang guitar software. I owned two Mustang amps - the last one the 12inch II variant. That thing had great clean sounds and the supersonic amp is awesome for leads. I think this move may actually boost sales. It will drive a lot of guitar players toward the software. And having been using Studio One for a while now I find it to be the best PC DAW for my needs - being a guitarist/songwriter. Tried them all but the workflow and tools of Studio One were the best.

@PulseWave I am quoting your own comment on purpose.

You are the one who started this by writing this comment on Gaza so you are the one who should be reminded of the rules here.

For example, you get a warning point for political discussions. I think you're being a bit petty and have fixated on Gaza instead of understanding the context in which I wrote it. If your monthly salary is $40, how do you expect to buy music software or hardware with that? In short, if everyone had more money, everyone would benefit; certainly, some would buy Studio One, to stay on topic.

How about us poor old age musicians who have spent all our money in Fender guitars and amplifiers? We should get the DAW for free! Proof of all the Fender gear we own should be sufficient! lol :guru:

Fender, Gibson, and all the others are companies whose sole aim is to generate profits.

are you a bot? I'm asking because any normal human being should know that many guitarists have spend thousands of $ in Fender gear throughout the years. I didn't start this, Fender did.. lol

Context doesn't matter: You should not engage in politics on this forum in any way by your own admission.

After all, you were the one who quoted the rules so you should be aware of these rules.

All companies aim to generate profits. Some do so by providing high-quality products and/or services, which enhances their brand image and makes them prestigious in the eyes of a demanding clientele, while others sell cheap crap to the masses.

But in either case, shareholders' opinions have little influence on their commercial policies and probably even less on their strategic decisions.

That's why the number one rule of the most famous and talented investor/shareholder of the past century - Warren Buffett - was to study with great attention the composition of the management committee of those company in which he planned to invest. This gave him a clearer view of the company's strategy and policy than simply consulting its financial statements.

Context is absolutely crucial. You're a notorious know-it-all, you're not addressing the facts or the topic at all, and now you're trying to shift the blame onto me. I already said that I can't say anything about Gaza because that would be a political discussion, and I don't need a warning point.

You didn't merely mentioned Gaza. Instead, you wrote that there was a famine in Gaza which is NOT a neutral comment , this is highly politically oriented.
