Last version to support windows 7. What a piece of garbage amateur DAW. I think Steinberg was stuppid forcing us to use windows aero, but they got to be worse.
This daw now is out of my list.

They fixed the poor graphic peerfromance under macOS now ?
Or does moving things still feel like operating via remote desktop?

In my case yes, no more slow rendering, great comparison as "remote desktop"
    Seems all faster and snappier.

Right,it would be cool to have to click one time on audio files (or call it samples) when browsing in the explorer too, instead of having to click two times. This thing is stupid, very, very annoying.Same thing when you want to open a plugin in the track inspector or in the mixer,it sucks that you have to click 2 times.

Yep. 35% of PC users stick to 7, so I guess 2020 will have to deal with them. Wished I could have sticked to it, not a day goes by without that thought on my mind.
But I'm all legit, it's indispensable to get support from the devs, and those guys are dropping support for W7 like flies.

Really sad that for OSes (except Linux) progression in time seems to rime with endless drop in quality.
It's kind of easy for them with idiotic users convince that newer is better.

No I'm not angry at all.But a guy saying windows xp is better than windows 10 for music is the same kind of guy saying Reaper is the best DAW ever and everything else is shit.I know these nerds.

  20. Windows 7 will reach End of Life (EOL) on 14 January 2020.

There’s no point in blaming developers for failing to continue supporting it. To be a Windows developer you must be a Microsoft Partner, and to be a Microsoft Partner you must get with the official program of what versions of Windows your product supports. Windows 7 is over. It’s unfair but that’s how it is.

You’d be better off lighting a candle rather than cursing the darkness, because after January there’s going to be a feck load of darkness out there. You must lock down where you are. You must help support the residual user community and there’s few better places to do these sorts of things than here. You also must give up on expecting new stuff to retrofit on your rig,
