Well that was a damp squib if ever there was one. Presonus need to sack whoever is organising these PR events. Not one video released about the upcoming 4.6 just a quick preview in the UK for the elected few. Keep this "crying wolf" type of PR up and people will start to not give a sh*t about anything they have supposedly coming out. Sorry to everyone for even posting the original message its like a broken pencil.....pointless.

Be patient guys, '' support metal '' for OSX is planned in the v9.5.1,'' 5.1 mix support '' will be implemented in v10.5.5, custom color palette in version v11.1.1 knowing that Presonus releases a major update every 3 years approximately ... lol

Anyways, as user of Studio One 4.5.5, I still can't use some plugins such as the Vienna Piano Synchron (and many others) blacklisted systematically at startup, without going through a third party plugin.

Hoping that a solution will be provided during my lifetime.

They are working on the bugs of version 4.6 ...

    Reaper 6, all the way.
DAWs are always trying to compete with VST's instead of improving workflow features.

For me, Studio One are the best and most effective DAW to create and producing songs, mix and mastering, I don't care about new versions coming, only I make music since 1992 with Cubase and move to Studio One in 2009 until now and forever.

No idea what the event was about but a post on the presonus forum mentioned that 4.6 will arrive around the 10th December. However, looking at the details previously posted it doesn't look like the most thrilling update.

agree, that's why I decided to invest in it.

now, what they have being doing announcement-wise is..bad, that marketing department is not working properly. there is no shame in recognising that simple fact, i truly hope its just that, and not a sign of presonus having other kind of problems.

see, its not us who started using that development/updates as a marketing tool, its the companies themselves who did that, so then they must accept reactions, specially when like in this case a simple short explanation would have solved everything from day one.

why don't just post a simple two sentences "guys, this and this"? not even to their own freaking forum community did they do that, or to us on their customer mail list. it shows that somewhere there is an evident lack of care, hopefully it just one or a couple of individuals not making their jobs right.

I only have extended experience with Pro Tools, Cool Edit Pro, Adobe Audition, FL Studio, Ableton Live, and Logic. Out of all of those I prefer any version of Studio One 3 and Up.. Mainly because I can go from production to Mastering comfortably without ever having to leave one program and be happy with the finished product. I complain about some missing features that are in the aformentioned DAWs, but ultimately I can get past those pretty easily. I might try Reaper one day if I get uninspired with S1

I love how well Studio One works with a FaderPort, and how easy it is to control every parameter with a 100mm Fader @ 1024 steps

Reaper sucks. I say this for 2 reasons,

1 - if I went into a Reaper thread and said StudioOne is the best, I would hope there would be at least one person to tell me Studio one sucks.

2 - The second reason is because Reaper actually does suck.

    C'MON GUYS!!!
This is so unfair to Presonus here. Look, there are 5 official places to check on Presonus news: Presonus.com and their 4 social links (IG, Twitter, FB, and YT) and if you've noticed, in all of them, the flyer from Pro Tools/Studio One Expert posted by the OP never appeared on any of their official places; no tweet, no IG posts, no nothing from Presonus itself. Obviously, there is inside info that we don't know but it is very possible that the folks at Pro Tools/Studio One Expert either got invited or were part of putting the event together and decided on their own to promote it on their own site. Again, that info never existed on any Presonus official links.

The bashing should be directed at Pro Tools/Studio One Expert folks for not having any follow-up to their post. :dunno:
