A guy (wich is at korea presentation) posted some news on the FB, but Presonus remove it

as already stated in this thread we can see some MIDI FX and a new sampler called May Tai (or something like that LOL)

I was told that there are new improvements in songgwriting and sound design, "it will be a game changer".

I've been following this thread with a bit of interest. I'm an ableton faithful mainly because of gui and familiarity as much as anything.

So, Idecided to track down a copy of Studio One v2 and I have to say it's blowing my mind. Except it looks like shit.
I'll be going for v3 as soon as I can because with the changes you're all talking about, it's going to be the new go to DAW.

With the right marketing it could end up as dominant as Sound Tools was at the turn of the millenium... maybe

    Really pumped

Don't know... at the end of the day we use our ears to make music... i'm not a GUI-guy. The only looking-good daw for me is Logic Pro X, other daw are ok. Live is really bad GUI-wise, but it's a very powerful tool. really like all the Macro thing and chainer.

V3 should look like V2, but black wich don't bother me that much. Some people are alredy poiting that with a black GUI text will be harder to read, but don't know let's see what happen in the next few days.

    Presonus on Twitter:

"Update on tomorrow's Epic Webcast: Steven Slate of @Slateproaudio will be joining us! Register here: http://bit.ly/1JdMX5f"

They probably announce that S1 v3 will support Raven from Slate

Very true, we do use our ears, but from a workflow point of view I think the appearance matters.
I want to dedicate as little of my brain to navigating the DAW as poossible so I can concentrate on the sound.
I just find Studio One difficult to scan and do what I want to do.
And apparently it's in my head cos I asked to mates what they prefer and both said Studio One. Neither have any production experience.
I just think it looks at home in windows 95 rather than windows 10.
Hopefully the black will change that.

I run Win 10 and was an awful experience. I found Studio One to be one of the easiest and fastest daw to work with. I like Logic too but at the end of the day i prefer Studio One. If you have some deadline and you need to work fast believe that the GUI doesn't matter that much but this is just my point of view.

What's kind of difficulties did you encounter using S1??

Mate I reckon we're a perfect example of how there's no right or wrong.
    For whatever reason we're at polar opposites. :) I quite like 10. It's a nice blend of 7 & 8 for me.

Identifying tracks in the mixer was giving me the shits. And toggling through different windows in the browser put me offr but that's probably more to do with the fact I'm used to Ableton now.

I guess my overall feel is that I'm excited by the extra functionality of Studio 1
But frustrated that it seemed harder to accomplish.

Again a lot to do with what I've learned on,
but all that grey just seems to get me down a bit. lol

I really like S1 browser, the best browser i,ve used. It's fast easy. You can do a lot of things with the browser, really. Search is fast and fantastic and every tab has his personal search. One of the main reason i drop Logic Pro X is the browser, it's just awful really. In the Osx days i usually drag files from S1 browser directly to Logic arrange view.

For me S1 is almost Perfect, i need just 2-3 new feature and i'll be super happy.
    -Automation curve (better like FL)
    -Mixer undo redo ( not in s3 :( )
-32 bit internal bridge ( jbridge is just bad)

Bend tool (warp) it's Great, melodyne integration is very good. Zoom is easy and fast. Quick menus. Can't wait to try V3

Ps: I'm saving some money for V3 producer
