I was trying to install Presonus Hub on my pc so I could try out the Fat Channel Collection and Ampire and I was under the impression that it was possible to use them with other DAW's through Presonus Hub without needing to install Studio One. Now from what I can gather from the R2R.txt it seems like I must install Studio One first to be able to get a license for Hub. Is this correct or am I doing something completely wrong?

 

Presonus Hub does not seem to have an off-line activation feature showing the Computer ID. Thus you must install & run S1.
Would be nice if the keygen had a Get ID function.

 

Did anyone do some performance tests on v5 and compared it to v4 ?

 

That's what I suspected I tried to get the computer ID with cmd ipconfig/all but the keygen just says "Invalid ID". I don't think I have the energy/time to install Studio One just to try out the plugins and then uninstall and clean everything afterwards. Thanks for the reply though!

 

You need to read the text file, then make a folder in programdata/presonus name it presonus hub. drop the license in the folder you just made. R2R forgot to mention to make a folder ,they overlooked that part in the txt file but it works perfectly

 

Correct make a folder name it Subscription drop it in c:\username\program data Presonus make sure to unhide hidden folders under view cdrive properties to view programdata folder

 

I know that part, but to make a license with the keygen I first need to install Studio One which I don't want to do! I use Reaper and only wanted to try out some of the Presonus plugins but it seems to big of a hassle to install SO just for the plugins.

I did notice v5 uses like about 120MB RAM more than v4 on en empty project and very similar settings.

 

Is that because part of Notion is loaded in to memory, plus the new show page?

 

By performance, I mean the new plugins, the new audio engine and overall usability under heavy track count.

 

I did it. I uninstalled SO1 with revo uninstaller with complete scan and my presonus plugins are always there in Reaper. So try it. It works!Presonus Hub is not SO1.
