I like that type of house, tribal percs, deep dark atmos, full of delay on lots of tracks. Go for it, try to analise the structure, arrangement, instruments so you can learn how the song has been done.

First of all have a good time while making the music! Try to be original, not to use many loops, create your own stuff. I would like to address also the some kind of deviation that Deep House genre is today mistaken. This music that you refer to in music video is mostly nu disco stuff and this is closer to pop music than to deep house. The real deep shit is totally different beast, I don't want to get deep into this matter just a short mention.
Anyway have a good time and it's not important what genre it is.
