Callin' all heavy-heads!

I've to record some post-hardcore bands for a three-way split... They are "on budget" so we decided to go completely ITB. Here comes the problem: the drums... I was planning to rec them via the ekit to maintain a decent level of touch without going mad with later humanization... I've done a couple of sound experiments with some midi-fills but I'm really concerned about the sound... BFD3 and Drumforge seem to be the better shots but I cant really take out a decent (kinda) real sound!

My goal is to provide them some kind of Sturgis sound... any advices?
