    Hi to all!

I use to be a Windows user and I was working with Cubase. I have a couple of interesting sessions made in that environment.

I'm back at making music, and I've now become a Mac user, working with Logic Pro X.

I'd be really interested in knowing the sounds I was using in a couple of sessions. I can get the MIDI tracks for a friend (he has Cubase, but he's Mac too), but what I would love is to know the VST and the precise sounds I was using.

    Is it possible?

    Thanks!

Depending on the version of your cubase project you could download the 30 day trial and load it up?

A friend of mine (I talk about him in my original message) has Cubase on Mac, but he told me it was impossible de know the name of the sounds missing.

Maybe with a Cubase in a PC environment?

In Cubase 5,6,7 & 8 when you load a project (Windows) it will tell you the vst instruments and VST effects that are missing from the project by Name (Massive,Kontakt,FM8, ect...) I dont know if this is possible in MAC. It will still load the missing track with midi, You will just have to replace the VST Instrument.

Midi tracks aren't enough. You must have the original project, unless these are not just "midi tracks" but "instrument tracks".

I have the originals projects... made in Windows environment.

I guess this would work (know the name of the sounds missing) if it's open on Cubase in Windows.

Tell your friend he needs to view your project file in any decent text editor and scroll down you will see the names.
