Hum, you can dislike ableton it's you're right, but this statement is not true. I can modulate everything i want, in the way i want only with the stock tools. And if i add M4L modulations tools in balance, it can be done in a very creative way.

For my part, i have used it more than 10 years ago but i don't like FL Studio. The workflow is a mess and the interface looks like a fisher price toy for me.

Going to leave this here and bounce. There's a lot of features I don't even use or have ever attempted to learn in Ableton

The software isn't the problem. It's how we utilize them that causes the likes or dislikes (which is usually not taken into account).

Native Instruments Kontakt - the user interface makes no sense and recycled truckloads of samples with fancy graphical interface slapped on top of them are merely a buyer hype thing

I could also bash on ProTools as always, but frankly many of its core principles aren't that terrible, it just fell behind anyone else throughout years

I despise ProTools, even though I know has been solid for vocal recording and mixing. I think would get more respect and trust if they didn't try to push it as the "music production" solution, but rather the "recording" solution. They are still going to remain established because of the integration with (and success of) Avid Media Composer, the failure of Steinberg to make Nuendo attractive to mainstream, and the lack of interest Apple has in fusing Logic and Final Cut like Black Magic does with Davinci Resolve and Fairlight.

i really liked the idea of Serum, but it never gave me any sounds, when i tried to design some, which i found appealing.

So Serum is literally there on the same Day it was released and it always stayed there ...

Sylenth1 is very capable synth and its easy to create sounds with. And i really like that you are limited by waveforms.
If i have to choose from gazllion of wavetables, i get stuck in that.

Massive, the old one i also like for the simplicity, but i do hate how the envelopes work there, you cant get a clicky enough behaviour from them. Otherwise its down the alley of Sylenth1.

So its maybe a problem Serum has, it might be a me problem, but thats okay.

Is that sale still going? I don’t really understand it and I’m wondering if you got modo bass as part of the deal, I didn’t want to spend my money till I knew 100% what was going to happen and if it’d work

I also hate FabFilter now and can’t stand FL Studio anymore. I bought the entire FabFilter line but sold it quite a while ago. Kontakt is so annoying to use that I ignore everything that requires it, even if I like the sounds. I also hate Reaktor, everything that acts as a wrapper annoys me. Most Max for Live devices have such terrible performance that I stopped using them entirely back when I was still using Ableton.
