I really like using the effects version of Serum aka Serum FX on tracks. Its cool how u can give that Serum Sauce to a sample, vocal, etc.

I also have used Psychic Modulation phonec in effect mode before RC-20 came onto my radar.

Are there any other plugin synths (vsti) that have or allow using their effects engine out there? Id love to explore.

They all have the synth plugin plus the FX plugin. That's what you asked for.

 

haha yes I did! I have some of them. But never realized they have the fx version.

 

I didn't know Surge has a FX version.My Surge hasn't.Is it a old version of Surge?

Do you know Molekular for Reaktor?Worth a try if you don't.It's a unique multi effect,amazing for experimental sound design.A bit cpu hungry,though.

 

I believe that I downloaded a fairly new update within the last couple of months but I'm on the road and can't check it out. I haven't tried using it as an effect lately. Why don't you ask Baxter as he is a great Surge proponent and is a wealth of information.

MXXX (It's more of the opposite way here an Effect with Synths ability only VST not AU )
From inside MXXX you can load MPowersynth, MFactory, and MDrummer.

is indeed an interesting one because this has a MIDI out as well for the ARP

And Specially the MIDI out + LFO and a MIDI CC is incredible powerful . And with the VST Hosting this get to even crazier Levels

You just need to route the Audio right.

yeah hungry but good...i think its cause it moves so much..i kno you kno but yeah .its like a xy pad but with more effects in each corner and plugin moves in that circles and other weird forms..something like that...not 100% but something like that

Yes for texture,sfx,pad sounds this thing makes them less static.I like the different effects it has,some weird fresquency shifter,resonator,reverb,delay.No other plugin offer something in this genre with this UI and sound quality.

 

Ooo that's genius. I totally forgot about midi out options of synths. Midi effects work too.

I want to throw in EZkeys in here for a midi out effect. Its dope to browse through midi packs that come with sample packs in key and in time with my song while it plays another vsti.
