I just bought the bx console G & N for $9.99 each. It seems the bx plugins become worthless after a while, especially since the licence transfer fee is $20 per licence.

 

@jimbeam I'm interested in the console J, but for that price I'm better off going with it directly from PA. Owning the console SC gives you it for $149, plus I have a $75 voucher which brings it down to $74. At the current exchange rate, buying from you is $105.91 including the transfer fee.

 

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. They sound good, but they go on sale frequently. Right now you can pick up both the console E and SPL vitalizer for $30 if you have a $50 voucher. It really doesn't make sense spending 50euro on the G to spend another $20 on the transfer fee. You could have gotten it for $15 just the other day.

They're also purposely trying to discourage second hand sales. When they unveiled their subscription plan a bunch of people on KVR went full retard and sold all their PA plugs in protest, for some reason. And then the people who actually bought the subscription were also selling their PA plugins en masse. So they lifted the $50 limit on transferring plugins and now you can just be charged infinite transfer fees lol. On plugins that most people know they can buy for $30 sooner or later

 

i think pa's marketing policy is lame....ridiculously pricing, vouchers with rules and bla bla bla, you dont know what to expect for...
i think acustica handles it way smarter, anyway i am willing to make a better deal to someone who wants more then one
