    Hey guys,

Any in the know happen to know if the guys will add RTAS to this release as I actually use both VST and RTAS ...

Or if there is a work around on them?

    Cheers

as far as I know pro tools doesn't support rtas anymore as they've switched to aax, so the devs are focusing on that format

Supporting and developing is two different things

As for Pro Fools only plugin i bet every penny that they focusing on developing the AAX format but still support Rtas for old customers maybe if some serious bug appear they will release an update.

    But i dont think so.
Anyway you know its very easy to find answers on dev:s website it took only 1 min and then i found this

That (maybe) the latest release includes RTAS, but nothing in the RTAS files has changed since 3.0 or even before. Don't know the release but it might very well be.

Also, the fact that Plugin Alliance still supports RTAS doesn't mean R2R support it as well :P.

No they won't. R2R is surely not going to waste hours to code .DLL loaders for a dead format.
(let alone RTAS can't be analyzed properly, as ProTools can't be run under debugger, so it will be close to impossible to code loaders. I don't remember of a single RTAS loader ever released.)

You should be happy enough they coded VST loaders to bypass this PA new protection layer (custom packer/wrapper). And you should also avoid posting another request at AZ, the first one for 3.1 was useless enough. Like R2R give a flying fuck about requests, if they even read said requests to start with, since they don't visit/like AZ at all.

I appreciate most of your posts on here but your a little off with this.. First of all RTAS is not exactly dead. Certainly not for people in use these sites.. As you know the deal with AAX. Native plugs are still very much in use as is PT10 for many mobile rigs..

But those of us still using PT 10 its not dead.

Regardless of whether or not they look at requests I didn't know that so thanks for heads up.. Shouldn't they get rid of request feature then also. Plus dont act like this question is crazy this is the first release of that specific plugins that didn't include RTAS.

The format is dead. Yes a lot of people are still using it, but nobody in the crack-scene is putting any effort in it, more important stuff to spent their little free time on.

And yes, requests are requests for _posting_ an exiting release.. Not for 'can you crack this?'. It doesn't work like that.
The groups do what they want, since it's their hobby. See the 'format is dead'-line above :).
They won't start cracking RTAS because you posted on some website somewhere :). Not meant to be harsh to you, but just the reality of how it is.

Stuff gets cracked because _they_ want to try to crack it. Not to supply you (the user). And in that sense RTAS is dead. Only for a select group of users and no future in it. So they pick another target. We (as end users all at the end of the chain) have nothing to do / say but 'bummer' and 'thanks' for what they actually do crack :).

I honestly didnt think putting it up there was gonna guarantee it gets done. But I put up anyway in case and i dont see any harm in that it aint hurting nobody. I mean you guys say its a dead format and I know where your coming from its for sure on the way out.. But they still do the waves with RTAS. Maybe its done differently I dont know.. And like I said this was the first PA release from them with no RTAS attached..

I see. I was just curious why they decided to stop on this release considering the last one wasnt too long ago and included RTAS.. Obviously this one has new plugs so i was really hoping to get it.. :(

Dude are you serious? Give us a break. Your whole hard drive is filled with nothing but stuff that you've wanted to try and were lucky to receive. This is just getting ridiculous.

Really? Tax season proved otherwise.. $5479 on pro audio gear last year the majority of that was software. PA, Waves and sampletank and a couple of other things are the only things i havent paid for YET. Will be 100%%.. Maybe not sampletank because i dont use it.

Are we not allowed ask questions without getting attacked now? thats lame... I was actually going to buy waves 1 by 1 during the seasonal sales and build up over time.. But i figure ill wait for one of my bigger jobs this year just buy the mercury bundle and be done with it..

when i clear some other gear payments ill finance the PA stuff.

PS At no point did I complain I simply asked ..
