    I doubt its even in the same league as the HW version, same for console channel strip plugins, close but not there.

    Nice question. Ableton Live create stereo tracks by default or am I wrong? I'll try to use it on an audio channel with mono content.

    @thantrax I don't know anything about Ableton Live tbh but if you're right that explains why you don't get the single channel version. I get the single channel on pure mono tracks, just tried it.

    After installing it Live 10 "see" one VST only. Same looking for it via FL Studio and Bitwig Studio. I'm going to reinstall IRON via PA installation manager.

    There is only one .dll / .vst3 file it just uses the proper interfaces by itself.

    It uses the default UI only, no matter how I setup a channel or which audio source I chose.

    I'm going mad.

    Understandable, stuff like that is never good for your mental health. Is it possible that Ableton Live doesn't do genuine mono tracks? From what I've found via a short evaluation of search results I couldn't find a proper answer except that it can handle mono signals.

    This is because neither of these DAWs (*) allows for true mono tracks. You can have true mono tracks in DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic and Reaper but not in the DAWs that you mentioned.
