Hi everyone, I have a big problem with Kontakt:
when I add a library with "add library", I select the library, and it appears on the kontakt browse (on the left panel). But when I clic on this library, kontakt says that
"our new Library needs to be added before this Instrument can be used. Please go to Kontakt's Libraries tab and press the Add Library button".
So I clic on "add library" again, select the library. And then Kontakt says :
"'(name of the library)' already exists within the Kontakt Libraries tab".
I clic again on the library, and Kontakt says that I have to add the library...

I tried to put the library directly on the quick load but I have the same messages.

    Does someone knows the solution?

If my problem persist, do you know how to reset / delete all Kontakt files instead of reboot my computer?

    Thank you very much!!

That might be the problem .... maybe you have already added a homemade lib where the digits are the same in the .nicnt file as the library you´re trying to install now?!?

I also think that's the problem. But I take care about changing the SNPID code, the name and the regkey of each homemade .nicnt.
And it works with some libraries...

PC could also be visibility of library - run re-edit check visibility key of library in question and edit manually if needed.

    Mac - edit.plist

    Good luck

    Hi,

    sorry for reviving this topic or merging mine into this;
but I have the exact same problem with one of the libraries and couldn't find a way after working on the issue like 2 full days.
The thing is everyone seems to be ok with adding that particular library.
The library in question is Metropolis Ark 2.

    Anyone to help please?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
    First of all thanks!! =D
I'm new here and sorry for being a bit foreigner to terms but if you mean to "create manual nicnt" file by one of those "library makers", yes. I created it myself. Checking with and paying attention to SNPID not to match any other existing library's. Paying attention to match the info in nicnt and xml file to pair up correctly.
    Checking the registry entries... etc.

With no luck at all... =/

    Thanks for your help!...

Ok your problem is Metropolis needs another kind of nicnt files :p indeed, there is 2 kinds of nicnt files, and create manual nicnt file doesn't work.
The problem is you can't make this second nicnt file.
So the best way is to delete the library from kontakt browser, and also delete the xml file (library / application support / native instrument / service center), the plist file (library / preference), and also the plist file from the hiden library (clic on alt in finder/go), also in library / preference. Delete also the nicnt file you made. When you delete all of this, restart your computer.
download the real nicnt file I uploaded here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6C4_VCq0IdiSWFkb2JNaWdzMnM
and put in the library folder. Open kontakt and clic on add library. I should be working :) it worked for me :)

    Hi skerjht,

First of all thanks a lot for your help and providing with the proper file.

I'm a PC user and I couldn't quite get what you mean by those paths (library/ .... etc.) and file format "plist"...
Is it a MAC specific file type? If so, do you know the corresponding paths & files that I need to look for for PC?
I've removed the manual nicnt file and the XML in Service center as you've told so.

    Thanks again! =)

    Actually,
I've just done a computer-wise search and located .plist files right here,
    PC > Users > AppData > Roaming > Apple Computer > Preferences

    There are those files,
    com.apple.apsd.plist
    com.apple.iTunes.plist
    com.apple.mediaaccessibility.plist
    com.apple.MobileDeviceCrashCopy.plist

I think none of these refer to the plist files you've mentioned?

Also, do I need to remove any "plist" at all since I'm on a PC?

    Thanks!

    EDIT:
OK I think I got it.
Plist in PC refers to Registry entries?
So I need to remove all registry entries related to Metropolis Ark 2. Right?

Sorry I forgot to ask :p I found this on the forum: https://audiosex.pro/threads/problem-loading-albion-iceni-library-solved.10106/page-2
It's normally the corresponding files and folders.
delete, restart your computer, put the official nicnt file into the folder of your library, open kontakt, add library and it should be working :)
