Hey Guys! please help? in my fl studio 12 squares instead of icons, I do not know how to solve it, reinstalled already 10 times, did not help!
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
who knows how to solve this?

 

Uninstall,
Delete, the FL installation folder completely.
Reboot,
Install as admin
Make sure you check the clean installation option.

If it still doesn't work try Image-line forums.

 

Are images turned off in Internet Exploder? If so, try enabling them.

Dunno, just an idea. (Disabling images in IE disables images using the IE engine)

 

I searched around a little, it seems You are missing the custom font data in the shared files folder.

did u use a legit installer? tried redownloading? set it to do a clear install?

did u at any point installed their fonts to be used with windows?

edit: checked it for u, my fonts map located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\Shared\Artwork\Fonts contains 33 fonts

 

Someone had the same issue in the image-line forums.
You just have to install the shared dll's installer, which you can get here:

forum.image-line.com/view...

and if you're not registered to that forum, I've uploaded it here for you:

This can happen if you don't run the FL12 installer (the legit one or my release)
with admin rights or if something doesn't permit the installer to run the external
installer for the shared files silently.

 

Can you please re upload that file? I am having a similar issue with Fl Studio 12

Shared program files (2017/03/10)
This is an installer for shared program files used by FL Studio and our plugins.

These files are installed with the FL Studio and plugin installers by default. You'll only need to use this installer in case something went wrong installing them.

This version is for FL 12.4.2 and newer. For older versions, use one of the installers in the next post.

This procedure will not affect any items or projects you have in FL Studio.

How to install
1. download the attached zip file
2. extract the downloaded file
3. run the extracted installer ("shareddlls_install.exe") and follow its instructions

These things are to be found all in the IL GlyphsEx.ilfont.
R4e posted it yesterday in the skinning thread and even included a cmd to open the folder directly.

The skin gang is experimenting with that very font at the moment, too (and I at least managed to change the stupid fruity acorn into a waveform). The guys had some really interesting ideas. Come over and share your ideas if you want. I myself would love to see many different kinds of boobs in there. I bet @r4e would also love that, cause he likes to bake boob-biscuits.

Thanks, not familiar with .ilfont extension, is it just ttf or? I'm just wasting time, trying to figure out if there's any rhyme or reason to icon numbers in .nfo files, doing a serious amount of clicking :|


Edit: looks like it's just a renamed ttf font; changed the extension & [there it is]. Not sure if it's the right one tho.

Yup, it's ttf I learned that from r4e in the other thread. You can rename it to .ttf to open it with Font Lab or whatever editor you use.
The numerical order seems arbitrary and it is possible that IL changes that order with updates. Because of that @r4e tried a new approach today and made an extra font that works side by side with the original. If that works out we could easily integrate any emoji, boobtype, manga girl and biscuit glyphs we want for our mixers and sequencers
